This really is a great pub, whether you’re looking for a delicious Sunday lunch with the family, a romantic meal for two, a refreshing drink after a long dog walk or best of all they throw a great party! This place caters for every eventuality and always delivers. I had my 50th party here this Summer and the team did a great job. It was perfect in every way. Great staff, great food set in a lovely location. A big selection of gin too! Keep up the good work guys.
We had not eaten here before and wanted a cooked lunch. The service was friendly and efficient, there is a dog friendly area suitable to dine. We have different tastes - my wife greatly enjoyed the vegetarian "fish & chips"; whilst I found the game pate followed by the jugged hare to be first class. The chef is a culinary artist. We will visit again.
First class, been here many times, but had the best Sunday lunch today. Michell our lovely server was so helpful and friendly, it made our lunch experience, all the better xx

Me and my boyfriend came for Sunday lunch yesterday and hands down the best Sunday roast we've had! The staff were very pleasant and attentive and the menu wasn't even expensive which shocked us because of the quality of the food! All round great atmosphere and will certainly be back again :)

Can't believe we haven't found this place before now. Good selection of real ales, plus excellent food and customer service.
We had a lunch, unhurried and sat by a real fire in the snug area, having large leather armchairs and a similar settee to finish our drinks.

The welcome was lovely,the staff were switched,the ambience was fabulous as there was also a chilled out high quality guitarist playing some george benson tracks amongst others.
The FOOD was out of this world.
A true community pub run by lovely people and staff.

We had the most amazing Sunday lunch yesterday, to celebrate my birthday. The food was all homemade and I can say the best roast dinner we’ve had for a while. We will be definitely returning.
Came for Father's Day. A few drinks outside and then a lovely meal. The food was fresh and hot. The service was good too. Will definitely be back again

Lovely place to have a drink. But very disappointed with you can only book to have a meal in the beer garden that's discrimination against someone who only want to have a drink. Will not be going back unless they change that's silly rule. After all it's a public house not a restaurant. Hope the management take this into account thanks please let people have a drink that's what's it's designed for. Thanks for listening to me and my partner.
Felt like we were sat in an exclusive beach bar in Ibiza. We ordered 8 dishes and usually you'd expect 1 or 2 to be ones you wouldn't order again however, every dish was amazing. Nice touch for the sushi chef to visit the table and explain the sushi.
The most relaxed and chilled place which makes you feel like you’re in Marbella! Couldn’t recommend it enough. The staff are all really friendly and helpful, foods food and drinks are nice. The interior and the music fits the vibe perfectly
We visited The Old Vol for the first time tonight and we were not disappointed in the slightest. We ate outside in the beautiful garden area and the service and food was absolutely incredible. Such a lovely setting on a nice summers evening with a singer on in the background, we can’t wait to visit again soon.
Enjoyed a family Sunday meal at the old vol, the kids loved the wonderful play area, so much they didn't want to leave :).
A perfect location for summer days in there stylish outdoor area, lots of tables and private pods. There is outdoor toilets and bars so no need to head back in doors, there is an indoor and outdoor menu which is strictly kept separate. Outdoor menu is light dishes if your looking for more substantial meal head indoors for the indoor menu.
I would book if it’s a nice day and wanting to sit outside.
Really nice place which has a nice menu, I would put the food on the expensive side, but it is good quality and tasty, so it is worth it for me. The service was quite slow. We had to wait 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order, and the food came out at different times with 1 item missing. I'm not sure if they are short staffed, but it did seem that way. The outside area is really nice, and the kids' play area is super safe with plenty to keep them entertained. I would definitely go back to see if the service was a one off or not...
Fantastic food and an even better atmosphere. What a fantastic, unexpected experience. The sushi platter was perfectly balanced and tasty, but the pork skewers were stand out. If you want that holiday feeling then definitely sit outside and order a cocktail or four!
If I had a single gripe, it would be that there was some miscommunication between the outdoor restaurant/bar and the indoors which made it a tad awkward at times.
