Had a fantastic salad today with some gorgeous freshly baked sourdough bread that's baked every day by Chris. Liz adapts the salad for vegans and swaps the feta cheese with some extra tasty items ! It really is an excellent place for breakfast, lunch or coffee & cake and I highly recommend it all round !

What a gem! Delicious lunch followed by a cream tea. I'm a Penzance girl and have to say they were the best scones I have ever eaten. (and there have been a few) I did see another table putting their cream on first though! If you are looking for great fresh food, relaxing atmosphere and excellent friendly service you have got to come here. There's a stunning coastal path to help walk if off too. Perfect.

Beautiful place run by kind people. I had the best looking/tasting salad ever, and generous portions. Great cakes too, and the original fitted shelves in the shop are so handsome. I'll certainly go back again when I am next in the area.

Just completed the one day 'getting started with sourdough' course. WOW! This is by far and away the best culinary course I've been on. Suitable for both experienced and novice bakers it was superb from start to finish. Great full day with coffee breaks, cakes and delicious (self baked) lunch. Fantastic value for money and you go home with plenty of bread and starters etc ready to go for it at home. Slightly worried about the effect on my waste line though! Thanks again for a fantastic day

Love this halfway café stop on the iwalkcornwall circular route from Mount Edgcumbe to Cawsand and back. Highly recommend the sourdough french toast with bacon and maple syrup and the delightfully naughty hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows 😋

The old Bakery, bakes bread, pizzas and cakes, but different things on different days and is only open Friday to Monday. So today, Monday we had really delicious pizzas. It is essential to preorder and they will be ready to collect at your allotted time. Yummy.

We got there a bit late and they were pretty much sold out. Managed to grab the last cinnamon bun and that has to be the best I have ever tasted. I will be sleeping on there doorstep next time.

Friendly staff, great coffee and by far the best sourdough I’ve had! As a veggie their breakfasts are brillant and the pizzas (which you need to order in advance) are delicious. A true gem I look forward to visiting whenever I’m in the area.

Wonderful bakery that serves cooked breakfast and makes amazing pastries. The sausage rolls are the best I have tasted anywhere. The cinnamon rolls (or snails as they call them) are also a highlight. We also ordered take away pizzas that they do some weeknights that you have to order....they were excellent. Friendly and professional service. My only grips is that they only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I would have gone there every day to eat if it had been open all week. Would highly recommend and get there quick before all the goodies are snapped up!

Arguably the best coffee in Cornwall with a lovely ambience and great service. We found this wonderful cafe several years ago and visited on a weekly basis. We have since moved, but still visit whenever we are in the South West. The in-house freshly baked sourdough fruit toast is a delight, as our the cakes especially the cookies! The owners Chris and Liz are now like good friends Please seek out the Old Bakery - you will not be disappointed!
