So impressed with this lovely cafe I messaged them directly. Hi, Myself and partner are fairly new to the area and have visited your shop the past three mornings. I would just like to say your coffee is amazing, one of the best I’ve tried. Your cakes are sensational, I didn’t know cakes this good even existed 😂 today I had the pistachio. Just wow!! On our second visit we discovered your little courtyard out the back, inspiring and beautiful. I don’t usually private message places I’ve visited, but I am so happy with this find I just had to write and express what a wonderful coffee shop you’ve created with an excellent atmosphere & great food. See you soon! Sarah ☺️

This café is the best you’ll find for miles around. The food is always delicious (the breakfast bap is to die for). Their Friday night tapas is also up there with some of the best I’ve eaten in central London in terms of quality. The coffee and cocktails are excellent too. We often pop by on our way out to pick up pastries too and the cinnamon buns are a firm family favourite together with the cronuts and Oreo brownies 🤤🤤🤤. Ignore any bad reviews on here, this place is fab 99.99% of the time (we are all human remember!). Sam and her team work very hard. Thanks for all you bring to our community.

Wholeheartedly recommend it! You will enjoy the smiles, attention and delicious menu, but also some artisan and tasteful shopping! And in all honesty - oneyear of living in Reading and this is STILL our favorite place to go for coffee and a bite. The speciality coffee always tastes perfectly and it just uplifts my day. The pastries are out of this world and there are no words to describe their food - so savory! This is also my dog’s, Margot, favorite place because of the treats she gets every time and all the special attention for all of the four-legged family members.

A cozy and cute independent neighborhood cafe. The lemon drizzle cake was delicious. All the baked items looked good on the counter. The place was busy on a Saturday. All the items seemed worth the price, good value for money. Definitely worth visiting.

Our favourite coffee shop with delicious food and drinks. Went here for early Father’s Day brunch on Saturday breakfast brioche with bacon is my go to favourite but the breakfast brioche with salmon , scrambled eggs with bacon and the French brioche with bacon are all amazing all washed down with cocktails - spiced Bloody Mary is definitely my choice We then went to the Friday Club last night it was superb - delicious small plates with wine and cocktails. The atmosphere in the courtyard was lovely and service from all the staff is very special This should definitely be on your radar for a visit Fantastic independent venue

Good coffee, nice atmosphere, cozy place and back garden. Only bad thing: the service is veeery slow. It took us 20mins to have 2 coffees to take away. So don't go if you are in a rush! 😜

Lovely spot. Sat outside at first but tables on the street are too noisy with traffic. What I didn't find out until I went to use the toilet at the end is that they also have a gorgeous garden in the back. Had the soup and half toastie lunch special. The soup was absolutely delicious, full of flavour. The vegan toastie was unfortunately lacking... Just seemed to be some spinach and mushroom on bread so probably next time would get the Brie one. Excellent choices overall for vegetarians but a little uninspired vegan choice.

Sam was incredibly helpful to organise a surprise breakfast and coffee for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. She delivered the food and my parents were very happy with the wonderful breakfast, coffee and even a surprise free cake. Thank you so much Sam

Superb coffee. Delicious cakes. Late brunch and lunch options. I’ve only taken out from here as the seating inside is compact. Friendly owners & staff, with locally designed household & jewellery lifestyle items for sale. Very chic & carefully designed. Grab & go to enjoy in Caversham Court Gardens by the river opposite.

Starting today, my favourite place. It was my first time here, I came with my friends and my little girl. Lovely place, excellent almonds croissants and delicious sausage roll.

This cafe is very friendly and has amazing food and coffee. I decided to leave a review after reading a recent negative review which seems rather unpleasant and destabilising for a lovely local independent cafe which I'm sure as all small businesses is currently struggling with rocketing costs etc. So lovely local people of Caversham let's support this local independent rather than the huge coffee shop chains.....

I love this place, when I moved to a different part of Reading, this is one of the places in Caversham I miss the most! It's got a lively inside seating area, and a cosy courtyard garden, with covering and heating (and little leg rugs during the cooler months). There's also a customer toilet too. The pastries and baked goods are divine, and the coffee is great, especially the iced coffee with a swirl of maple syrup. There's also a lovely daily menu for breakfast and brunch, and a Friday supper club (need to book for this one). They also stock lovely homeware and gifts, so great for last minute presents that are actually meaningful and often locally sourced. Inside seating is snug, so I'd leave the prams at home (unless it's sunny, in which case you can sit out front with some more space) Staff are lovely, it gets super busy at weekends, but they manage everything so well, and with a smile to boot. If you want a cosy spot for a catch up with friends, of even a good book, this spot is for you.
