We found this pub on a old edition of the "off the motorway" guide and were not disappointed. Excellent menu, tasty food and reasonable prices. This was a great way and place to break our journey.

Great country pub, excellent food and great service. If you like fish, the cod wrapped in ham is delicious 😊

We go to Caunton beck quite alot and it's always the same high standard. Great choice of food on the menu, traditional food of extremely high quality, presented with a contemporary twist. Love the atmosphere and staff are very helpful. Top notch!

Haven't been here for many years but returned last night for a family birthday meal and had a wonderful evening. The food was beyond gorgeous, the array of different 'specials' was superb. Very attentive and friendly staff. Will definitely be returning.

Such an amazing find. The service and food were both exceptional. We went for the evening meal on a Saturday and it was nice we went for Sunday dinner the next day. Can't wait to visit again thanks

Absolutely superb relaxed ambience and friendly, efficient service. I had the fillet steak and in all honesty, it was the best I've ever eaten and was cooked to perfection. My friend had the lamb rump and couldn't fault it. We will definitely be returning soon.

Amazing food, lovely staff. Very busy Sunday afternoon but service was quick and food excellent. We even saw that they did amazing looking take away lunches. Met with my family half way between the North and south. Highly recommend a visit.

This pub is lovely. The food is great, the service is good. The manager was so helpful and kind even providing and feeding the dog we had with us and makes a mean Malawi shandy. I highly recommend the place

Googled this pretty place for the first time. Booked a table for Sunday lunch I'm gluten free so I write everywhere I go specially for celiac people like myself. Really good menu with gluten free options. Decided to have Sunday dinner roast beef and slice of pork with roasted potatoes vegetables were cooked beautiful. No gluten free Yorkshire pudding 😞. Staff were friendly and professional very helpful with choices. Desert was good a few choices for gluten free. Will go again.

Called in for an early evening meal. Staff are welcoming and polite. The place has a nice warm feeling which I'm certain would be even warmer at a busier time. The menu is a little light on choice but it's clear they don't want to prep for loads of dishes. We had the gammon and duck egg, the burger and a child's sausage and mash. The service was fast but the food is clearly freshly cooked to order with a side of fab onion rings and a bowl of fresh crunchy veg! One thing that I will mention is that the seasoning is quite high/heavy but it was delicious! You might wish to ask for less if you don't enjoy plenty. Altogether a lovely place, nice beer and tasty food.

Really nice menu with a daily soufflé choice, set menu, game, soup, fish, steak .. just a few ales (as of Jan 2018) which are not very big, more on the session side

Quaint country pub. Fantastic quality Sunday roast that was very reasonably priced (in fact I think they are charging too little, so apologies to future diners if they see read this and then raise them!). The service was also very good. Free parking and wheelchair accessible.

Great spot for a quiet meal. Staff were really friendly, great choice of drinks and a good menu. Starters were excellent, mains (Caunton bec burger) was a bit greasy but still good, and the chunky chips are delicious. Nice place to sit outdoors on a warm summers day. But pricey compared to other places nearby.

Dropped in here whilst out for a bike ride one evening. A lovely country pub with a very welcoming atmosphere and plenty of space both inside and out to relax and enjoy a pint or a bite to eat. Great selection of drinks, awesome menu and fast, friendly service

Turned up on the off chance after seeing the sign for this place on the main road. The staff were very welcoming and was able to give us a table. The menu had a variety of food to choose from and we enjoyed our food very much. Definitely worth coming off the A1 for a break and enjoying some local pub food instead of the motorway services.
