Lived in Old coulsdon 2 years and first time trying this tonight, without a shadow the freshest nicest fish &chips I have had in area, no old chips that have been lying in old oil, all cooked fresh and friendly nice service,highly recommend.
Having a really good chippy close to one's home is one of those fundamental things that, in a small way, makes family life so much more satisfying. You would need to travel a very long way to beat the quality here.
This evening was my first visit. The shop couldn't be cleaner - a really good start. And the fish exquisitely cooked.
There is nothing worse than overcooked fish. The owner clearly is an expert. He told me that a light fluffy batter means that the fish can be cooked to perfection. And it was. Steve G

The best chippy around, and genuinely one of the best I've ever had. I've tried lots of the other things on the menu too, always superb. My friend is gluten free and says the gf fish here is incredible. Would highly recommend
Fab chippy in Caterham, situated in the parade of shops (where the nisa shop and launderette are) about 2 minutes away from Tesco . There is a wide range of items to choose from the menu and everything's cooked to perfection. Family favourite is the big foot sausages; yep they're 12 inches long!
Staff are friendly and telephone orders are welcome which is great as parking can be tricky.
Very honest workers explaining how food is prepped and cooked. Only meets my dietary requirements on Tuesday (halal and gluten free). Will visit on a Tues and update my review 😃

Best chips for miles. Fish always cooked fresh to order. Big highlight is footlong sausages, super tasty.

Really liked the food. We had chips, sausage in batter and cod. The chips and sausage in batter were among the best I've had. The cod didn't look that nice but it tasted great.
