Bulls Head Castleton - Castleton - Photo album

Good food, perfect location. I really enjoy using The Bulls Head when I am in the area. We called in on Thursday evening for some food and as usual, great service with the food arriving very quickly. We really enjoyed the food, it was delicious! The bar staff are always friendly and quick, a great e
I had lunch at Bulls Head with friends after a walk in the Peak District. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone looking for a good meal in the area. Here are some specific things I liked about the pub: The food
We stopped off today for lunch at The Bulls Head Castleton. The staff were extremely pleasant & helpful & very efficient. We both had the rump steak, one with peppercorn sauce & the other with blue cheese sauce. Food was delicious 😋 hot & well cooked. Excellent service & value for money. The manager
Nice pub with decent food. Had a lovely gammon steak with egg & pineapple plus good chips. Others in our party had good mains too. Desserts were very nice - sticky toffee pudding with custard but the custard was only lukewarm and bowls cold which detracted slightly. Reasonable prices.
Dropped in after a walk up Mam Tor. Quick few drinks and a lovely meal. Menu is varied and arrived in good time after ordering. The prices are reasonable for portions provided. We both enjoyed our meals very much. Bar staff were pleasant throughout the stay. If we head back to Castleton we will sur
Beautiful spot, with great staff happy to recommend and offer tastings of their variety of beers, including plenty of local options. Food was delicious (including the kids options), fire was lit and it's dog friendly. Car park out the back with plenty of outdoor tables too. A proper pub.
I popped in for food on a Tuesday evening. I got a very friendly welcome and both food and beer was excellent. The Fish and Chips were crisp and tasty. One negative point was the loud, intrusive heavy metal music coming from the kitchens that was competing with the more gentle music on the bar.
Had the pleasure of making several visits to the Bulls Head during a recent stay in Castleton. The team there really know how to look after their guests! Welcoming, friendly, helpful, and going the extra step to make the experience enjoyable. The food was standard pub grub, but no less tasty for
Staff were very accommodating, lovely food, great service, everyone very polite and helpful! Only downside was the benches on the front of the pub which blocks the pavement making it impossible to pass with prams, buggies and wheelchairs ♿️ we had to walk around the back of the pub to get access wit
Just stopped for a couple of days. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, well layed out and well equipped. Food at both breakfast and dinner was faultless (thanks Cal). Will definitely be going back and can recommend. Thanks to all.
Cute little old style pub in a conveniently placed location on the main road. We decided to visit here as on the walk back down from Mam Tor it was right there ready shouting at us to come sit down! The staff were amazing a young lady in particular behind the bar, think by the name kaitlyn? No issue
We were passing through Castleton (which is a beautiful historic town btw) and decided to stop by this pub for a drink on a whim. Bar staff let us sample their ales before we ordered. We ordered 2 half pints to start and some ginger ales for the kids. Friendly helpful service from the bar staff, gr
First time for us in this beautiful area . We popped in the Bulls Head today with my son and 10 year non verbal autistic grandson , eating out can be very challenging for him . We found a nice corner in the pub & I spoke to a lovely man behind the bar I think he said his name was Bryn or Bren so so
Great pub. Landlord friendly. They have a good selection of beers from the Robinsons brewery. They have a great Guinness alternative called Pitch, slightly livelier and not quite so heavy.. It's my new fave drink! Warm cosy pub with great looking and smelling food! definitely coming back here!
Lovely pub / hotel in the heart of Castleton with it's own carpark and beer garden. The food is well priced and exceptional in its quality, well worth the wait! A everyone welcome pub in the dog, easy access for those with mobility issues.
We has a fantastic meal at this pub. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and would highly recommend others to go! Staff were friendly and helpful too.
My first lunchtime visit for a couple of years. A lovely welcome from the staff was followed by an absolutely lovely main course followed by a dessert. Well worth the money and the ale was certainly good with a good selection to choose from. A great pub in an ideal location with pleasant smiling sta
