We didn't book so we were told we had a 20 min wait. I don't think we had to wait that long before we got a table. The deal 2 courses for just less than £12 was good value. You can also help yourself to the salad bar and If you have a soft drink you can refill this as often as you like. The steak I had was really nice and the service was excellent . I would recommend this place.

One word... Amazing!!!
34 of us arrived yesterday for my husbands 40th Birthday lunch. From booking the table to leaving the restaurant the staff couldn't be more attentive.
When booking the table we were told that they didn't have a table to accommodate 34 people but they would put us in our own area across a few tables so we would be sat together... it was like our own private party!
They welcomed us in when we arrived, they had put helium balloons on all the tables and banners around the area where we were sat. They came over and gave the 8 children in our party goody bags to keep them entertained and party bags!
The staff came over and took the orders at the tables. The salad bar was all very fresh and delicious. The food came out and was absolutely lovely. Hot and tasty.
I had taken a birthday cake which the staff brought out for us along with a lovely knife, plates and napkins.
My husband had an amazing birthday and that was down to the great staff and friendly service we received.

Fantastic breakfast extremely great value for money and all the staff were wonderful with us. As a big family with toddlers were usually made to feel uncomfortable eating out but the staff were friendly and helpful even when my little boy who has behavioural problems(adhd autism) broke a plate and glass the staff didn't make a fuss and put us at ease. Thank you for a really enjoyable experience.

Beth, you were an absolute stat of a waitress for us last night!!! We gave you probably the most complicated order you'll ever deal with in your career and you were just so lovely and helpful about it! You even took the time to explain it to the kitchen staff (who also did a great job!) I never expected it to all arrive without an issue, but it did. Outstanding job. You really made a good night great. I'm sure we'll be back after such a fantastic experience (p.s. Don't believe the girls.... you won't enjoy 50 shades!! Hope you get to see Beauty and the Beast soon)
Went here for an impromptu lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I don't mean that in an awful way but I've eaten at harvesters before and it was kind of just a means to an end, but the food at this one was really good! The staff were so friendly too! Cannot go wrong for the price. There were 3 of us eating and none of us had anything to say other than praise. We will be back!
We had an absolutely lovely time at the Winding Wheel. We had a large party of 17 people and our waiter Josh was brilliant and so accommodating, providing the best service and looking after us so well.
The only downside was that the hand dryer in the female toilets was not working and only 1 of the 3 cubicles had toilet paper.
This was the first time I have visited a Harvester restaurant. I was no disappointed! I ordered an halloumi flatbread and a rocky horror sundae for afters. Yummy!!
Service was fast and efficient to say there was 10 of us, staff were pleasant courteous.

What a brilliant atmosphere, very friendly staff and the food was excellent they have a massive salad bar to choose from and refillable drinks. And the prices are really good too. I would definitely recommend this place.

Had fun with the staff, Jo, who served us was very pleasant and very helpful even tho we did have a hard poached egg but sorted it our very swiftly. She coped well with putting up with us.

The pub itself is clean, the service was AMAZING, the food was basic but decent and well cooked, the salad bar was nice and didn't seem like the stuff was old, drinks were priced as expected and the Guinness actually tasted fresh, overall quite satisfied.
Only went for desserts this time eveything you would expect from a harvester really friendly staff clean tables ect they did forget our drinks though and our gransons drink overall a nice place for a family meal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Elaine lovely, hard working, funny. Food excellent and come quickly. Manager (?) sitting guests not particularly good, took forever to get bill as Elaine had large table of food to bring out and was sat multiple tables while doing so, would have been helpful for manager to offer these tables drinks at least to help Elaine out. Coming from a former Harvester manager.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. However there were things missing from the menu some of which we were told as we ordered, others not at all till the onion nests were not on our plate and onions rings missed off but delivered late. Manager saw to it that we had half price desserts to compensate us.
The rib eye was tough last night for us both. Had it before and was amazing, so was a shame.
Our first time at this Harvester was brilliant, the manager greeted us & was very friendly & informative as we had our baby with us. Nothing was too much trouble.
The wait staff are also really friendly, interacting with our curious baby as they worked & were on the ball with allergy requirements, very appreciated as not everywhere is as cautious!
The food was lovely, great value for the evening deal! Will definitely be back soon, if only to try the brownie 😊
We thought that the staff that worked at the restaurant were very attentive and had outstanding customer service. We were really impressed with how we were treated there, the right amount of communication such as ‘we will be with you shortly’ as they saw we were ready to order and checking in on us just the right amount for if we needed anything else. A fantastic experience and we will definitely be visiting again.
Service was excellent, food, technically there was nothing wrong with the food, it was just a bit Bland for me. (Yes, I'm super picky lol) However! I did enjoy the chicken strips for my starter. We will go back again.
Food average, the lunch menu was pretty good value for money, they guy who was front of house was lovely he explained where baby change was etc and the area to prep my baby's bottle. Was lovely to see that these things were available. Will definitely be back when visiting j32
