Amazing place. Real fire in winter. Good food and veg from their own plot. Reasonable prices for ale from the settle. Tuned piano, petanque, canoe launch for small fee onto the River Thames. Great welcome for visitors. Car Park to the side. Close to Fairford.
Called in on the off chance and hadn't booked , we were told they were fully booked but would try and squeeze us in , really glad they did beer was great food was delicious, happily recommend them to anyone and we will be going back. Beer garden was undercover and huge . Dog friendly.
⭕️ Yes, I recommend it! It’s that kind of place which is very, very, very old and I’m saying that because the construction of the building, because of the design (the tables, the chairs, the fireplace) and the smell which you will feel it inside of the restaurant, the terrace. The food was very tast
The Red Lion pub in Castle Eaton is an absolute gem! The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the feasting experience, featuring two incredible Tomahawk steaks accompanied by two T-Bone steaks. The steaks were cooked to perfection, offering a symphony of flavors that left our taste buds dancing. T

Amazing meal, great atmosphere Mark is fantastic
Thought long and hard about this review. ... Firstly the pub is gorgeous. (See Photos) set by the Thames and with willows and cute shepherds hut in the beer garden with huge undercover area Its a short drive out of swindon in quaint village. Garden has veg patches, fruit and flowers; interior of pu
Very good food and service, but only a small choice of tap beers and gratuity is automatically added to your bill, no matter the table size.
Absolutely stunning location on the Thames. Not your normal pub menu with more exotic dishes not normally paired with the pub setting. Great diversity from burgers to lobsters. Clearly passionate team to boot.
The first pub on the Thames. It looks unassuming as you drive up to it and turn into the car park. Looks are deceptive in this case. The pub has a large riverside garden that also houses its rentable Shepherds Hut and a large outside covered area. The dining room is an attached conservatory and is a
