Best Sunday lunch and tomahawk steaks you'll find!
Sue and Will are always so welcoming. Cosy fires in winter, cool in summer. A great place all year round.
We celebrated my husband's surprise 30th birthday here with lots of amazing food and drinks!
We had a party of 40+ people and the owners Sue and Will were so friendly and accommodating with both adults and kids. They have a lovely room off to the side of the main bar where we celebrated throughout
Had an absolutely delicious Sunday lunch here. The roasts were properly home cooked and they went out of their way for a vegetarian in the party. Extremely good value for money and the best food I’ve had in a pub for quite some time. Highly recommend
What a unexpected beautiful pub. Friendly land lord, good selection of beer, happy friendly and welcoming atmosphere as we entered by customers and staff as well as pip, the pub dog.
Food was good classic dishes but cooked to perfection.
Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again if I w
A warm welcome and just a lovely experience. Great hosts, gave us a table even though they were booked up. Lovely Sunday bite in a lovely cosy pub. Thank you.
We dined out here tonight as a family of 5. The staff were all incredibly friendly! Lovely little village pub. The food was just exceptional! Especially the lamb shank special! Price was well worth it and we will definetley be returning! Thank you for a lovely service 😁
Now here is a place to go! Proper home from home, excellent 🍱 as you can see and excellent beer and pork scratching and loads of old sporting country boys which suits me just fine I can’t wait to go back to that pub with the home made sausage rolls and scotch eggs etc.
also, the staff are amazing
staff are really friendly and welcoming...the pub has a very homely vibe with open fire, cosy seating area.great atmosphere with fantastic ales and delicious homemade dishes and pastries
We moved to the village a week ago, and already this place is featuring very highly - the pantry has had everything we need so far, including top rate homemade scotch eggs and sausage rolls, and the pub is a delight with great ale and decent wine. Really friendly, great service and produce. Highly r
Went for Sunday lunch here and it was fantastic. You could tell there was so much thought into every part of the dish. The beautifully cooked sirloin of beef with the creamy delicate leeks in sauce. Possibly the best roast potatoes I have had including ones cooked at home for a small group. The chef
I love this pub. It has a fantastic atmosphere and is a great classic village pub. With warm fires and friendly smiles from Sue and Will, I miss popping in for a pint. They have a lovely pantry that they’ve opened to during COVID and serve great take aways too.
All round the quintessential English
Sausage and mash for lunch and a lovely merlot, the ploughman's was great too with a good choice of ales. Dog friendly as well.
Lovely village pub with great beer and fab food. Parsnip puree was divine though the partridge was a shade over done. But the ginger sponge made up for it. Light as a cloud with lovely sticky ginger sauce and generous jug of cream. All in all great place to visit.
Nice pint, limited outside seating
Lovely little amazing pub
And the owners.. What a super couple 😊
