This place is amazing staff were professional and attentive in every way. Food looked delicious however we didn’t eat here. We Did speak to a lady who said her food was delicious. We will definitely be trying food here
Always stop by in this pub when visiting Cartmel. The food is good quality and good value and the beer is very good. A nice pint of draught beer whilst eating lovely fish and chips!
Went in quite late for a Monday evening and received excellent reception and service. Food was great- thanks chef for fitting us all in. Drinks were great Warm country cozy pub - all good
Been in here a few times..superb range of local well kept cask ales, last visit we tried some food which was excellent...just wish we lived a little closer 👍
Just had 2 nights stay included new year's eve, the evening meal was amazing staff very tentative, cannot fault it. Will definitely be returning excellent
Weekend in the Lakes with friends and family...night out in Cartmel so booked in for a meal at Royal Oak. Food was excellent and so was the service and ambience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Cartmel 👍
Popped in on the way back from a winter walk with two muddy dogs and got the warmest of welcomes from the staff. They made a fuss of our dogs, and they even got a free dog treat. Thank you so much 💓
Pub is really nice. Friendly staff. Only went in for a drink as the bus service doesn't run after 2.30
Only popped in for a drink. They are dog friendly which is brilliant. They have a nice garden plus a sort of conservatory. They serve comfort food fish and chips etc, but didn't have a chance to try any.
Wheelchair access is tricky because of cobblestones and a pothole in front of the entrance. Loos are on a level surface but very small. A large part of the interior is accessible but not the conservatory or the beer garden. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food and drink are excellent
Great staff. Great beer. Great fish and chips. Great to see the old place open again.
Really friendly staff. The kitchen took our order a few minutes before their scheduled end of dinner service which, having previously worked in hospitality, is a rarity. Terrific selection of beers that you wouldn't even find in a taphouse in central Brighton or Manchester. The first place I've foun
Stayed for one night in one of the rooms and enjoyed the pub as well. The room was newly refurbished and extremely clean. The furniture and design touches were very nice. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom well thought of and stocked. Breakfast was across the road at another B&B and was deliciou
A decent village pub with an exceptional beer garden. The food was good without being spectacular. A year ago prices wouldn't have been as hiked as they seemed to me. £7 for loaded fries. £8 for two pretzels. £15 for a main. A meal for four with two rounds of drinks came in about £100.
Great wholesome heartwarming food, perfect after a wet walk. Great staff and excellent location.
Came here for my 50th birthday. We had a lovely Sunday roast, which is the best I've had. Staff are lovely and friendly. There is a lovely stream nearby, where your dogs can play in. Ask for thr cauliflower cheese, it's the best!!
Regularly enjoy Sunday lunch here. Highly recommend a visit to anyone in the Cartmel area. Great food, beautifully cooked meats, imaginative vegetables, best roast spuds for miles, gravy, and extra gravy available! As I'm a Lancashire Lass, I was born with gravy in my veins, so this is a very impor
Fantastic pub, been here many times and their drink selection is excellent. Perfect place to sit by the roaring fire and enjoy the fell brewery beers. They also have a great selection of guest beers. Would recommend the fell draught stout for any Guinness drinkers. Food has also been really good, k
