A small country pub in the middle of nowhere. A very local feel when you enter, but everyone was friendly and the bar man was very helpful. The kids meals were great, and of good size. Beware of the chilli, its hot 🔥 We really enjoyed our visit.

First time visiting. Sat outside in a marquis to watch our favorite Rock n Roll Band Play it Cool. We didn't eat, so can't comment on food. Pretty, quaint pub on outskirts of St. Austell. Worth a visit, but like most Pubs, Beer is pricey!

Visited today 20th May 2023 Friendly atmosphere in the Pub and was made to feel welcome. Traditional in appearance and felt homely. Good choice on the menu, fairly priced. The three of us ordered a starter and a main. All excellent, tasty and delivered in good time. Happy to highly recommend this pub and will call in again.

Very welcoming and genuine Cornish pub a short distance from the Wheal Martyn Museum on the edge of St Austell's historic clay country. We dropped in for Easter Sunday lunch and enjoyed the excellent lamb and beef roasts by the fire. Undisputed charm, friendly and a must visit when in the area.

Lovely pints of ProperJob and Rattler cider, sitting in sunny dog-friendly garden.

What a find. Nice cosy pub, serving the best home cooked food. We had a delicious Cottage pie and Steak and ale pie. With a sausage for Barney our dog. It's an absolute must to visit when in the area.

We called into the Sawles Arms after a very wet drive down from Gloucestershire for a short New Year break. We received an extremely warm welcome from the owners, and enjoyed some excellent food and hospitality during our visit. It is a lovely little place and our two children enjoyed themselves too. If you're in the area I highly recommend you visit.
