Euphrates is our go-to kebab/curry place. Food is always lovely and as with most Indian restaurants, very generous portions (probably too much for one person).
We ordered tonight and delivery was within about half an hour.
As above, we find the portions huge so tend to go for their snack meals. I got a curry snack with garlic chilli masala and rice and my partner got a chicken tikka kebab with chips. We then half the two so we get a bit of everything and also got a garlic cheese naan with it.
The food was excellent and very filling.
In terms of price, it has gone up a little over the past few years with cost of living increases. You can definitely get a cheaper kebab in Carnoustie although probably not as nice. There’s other curries that compete, but pricing is probably similar.
One criticism is if you order donner chips and cheese, you get the option to add a sauce free of charge. This isn’t the case for chicken tikka cheese and chips which feels a bit odd and unfair.
All in all, it’s a good takeaway and that’s why we keep going back.
I've ordered from there several times as it was always good value for money: generous portions and great taste. The peshawari nan is amazing - the best I've ever had!
Prices have gone up this year so I might not order as often 😕
Went to this particular food outlet because the shop looked well presented and clean the menu was was quite enticing I ordered lamb Briana and I wasn't disappointed excellent meal just the way I like it and so much so during my stay in carnoustie I went back twice delicious I would recommend this takeaway
On another epic drinking session with Crixus the time had come where we had to fill our bellies. We had been drinking The Famous's own vodka and and the party was epic with bunting welcoming the guests. I said "Hey Crixus is there a kebab shop near here you rate?" Crixus replied "sure B man Euphrates!" I then said "I can't rate, why dont you rate a place?" Crixus said "No Euphrates! Not you rate, it's a staunch kebab shop" I said "I see, as in Euphrates, the region in Turkey, go forth and order the kebabs" The kebabs soon arrived. They were hot, fresh and very tasty. Crixis made a poor decision not getting sauce. The B man always recommends getting sauce. Top tip - if you have left over kebab for breakfast, sauce keeps it fresh. B man rates this kebab shop, Crixus rates this kebab shop, now you rate this kebab shop! YOU RATES! 5/5
Massive portions, excellent tasting food.
Update January 2023: The prices have rocketed and now very expensive!!!!!

Used the Euphrates on a wee golfing trip last week after having spent the evening in the Carnoustie Golf Club. (Cracking club btw)
Had the chicken donner with chips, both very tasty but it could have done with a sauce of some sort. Mate had the chicken pakora also very tasty. 4 stars as when we had asked the delivery driver where he was from he told us the Euphrates but not to bother phoning as they were really busy, we walk there and there are 3 lassies sharing a cheesy nann.
Thoroughly enjoyed both meals from here while visiting for a week. Curry was nice and spicy just how I asked for it xx
Good food. Cheery service and not expensive. Delivery can take a while when busy though.
