Lovely wee restaurant and lovely staff.
Clean and quiet. From outside I thought I'd be walking into a dark and dingy pub where I might get a few dodgy looks from the locals (I feel I've had that a fair bit touring round Donegal).
But....this place was perfect for stopping in for a bite to eat while touring the coast.
I've ate up the road in Londonderry arms before and think food was fine but can't actually remember it.
Only problem, if visiting here with kids.
The beef burger on kids menu seemed to be a patty homemade from mince with thick onion through it. My 9 yr old boy couldn't really eat it. Maybe someone else would love it but he's picky. I tried it too and found it to be not as nice as expected but can't put my finger on why.
The kids chicken burger isn't a breaded fillet, it's just a plain fillet which again tasted nice to me but my 5 yr old wouldn't eat it because he thought it would be breaded.
My 10yr daughter got chicken and chips. Can't go wrong with that. She was still a little hungry after that but there dessert menu is nice or you can get some morelli's ice cream a few doors up.
Meal was £55 for 2 adults and 4 kids. Youngest 1.5yr old.
Oh and I had a chicken stack on mash with tobacco onions and maybe pepper sauce, I can't remember but it tasted great too
Excellent food and service.
The best food we've had in any eating establishment anywhere.
We'll done all.
A fantastic experience.
Our family of four and baby had meal in lounge this evening Fri 22nd Sept 2023. The meal was absolutely beautiful the staff were amazing and so friendly. We had meal here years ago and have to say things haven't change was beautiful then and still the very high standard. Thankyou all so much for making our visit so good.
Packed full of noisy patrons enjoying themselves on a Saturday afternoon. Friendly, helpful staff. Large serve size meals for hungry people. We had an excellent chicken curry, meaty pizza, and Glencloy burgers.
Awesome wee inn with a great restaurant. The food was delicious and service/staff was very good. Definitely a great spot to stop in at while driving up the coast
Food absolutely superb, portions are massive. The photo does it no justice, i was foetal for a few hours after! This was a turkey and ham dinner with veg, mash, roasties and gravy. Still dreaming about it.
Great value too. I last visited here as a child with my grandparents and the food and portion size stood the test of time. Even had 0% Guinness for the anxious driver who was just craving a pint of the black stuff.
Love this place! Great welcoming staff. Good food. We happened to have a nice day so we sat outside. This is where I had my first Guinness ever and it did not disappoint.
I will highly recommend this lovely Inn, the food was great & very tasty. I would highly recommend a visit for a drink & food.
I will definitely be paying another visit in the future.
Great food in the restraunt today, very reasonably priced, massive portions and the young staff are a credit to the place. Really enjoyed our meal from start to finish! Will be back soon.
Called in for a quick drink while out for the day. Nice little pub..like a pub should be! Really friendly staff. Overheard tourists calling back in to eat for a second time so assume the food must be good!
Called in for food yesterday, first visit, it was beautiful! Very reasonably priced, young staff but all very helpful and pleasant. I would definitely recommend !⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Had a fantastic meal in the Glencloy Inn. The food was great and the prices were very good too.
Love this place good food good price and excellent atmosphere make sure you book
Lovely pint. Didn't have food but looked very nice. Staff very pleasant and attentive.
Delicious food and friendly service.
Food beautiful staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you highly recommend
Had lunch at the Glencloy Inn yesterday. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Met by a very pleasant young waitress who took our Covid screening details. The service by the different servers throughout was spot on nothing too much trouble. Compliments to the chef, we had 2 courses which were both tasty, well presented and excellent value for money. The restaurant setting was warm and welcoming. The toilets were spotless as was the whole venue. You have a great team there, we will definitely be back and will be recommending the Glencloy Inn to family and friends.
We had a lovely meal in the Glencloy. Steaks were overcooked a little but were still great and portions were big. Cocktails were lovely too. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only fault in the evening was a very loud group of ladies. Luckily they were on the far side of the room from us but the diners on either side of them looked severely ticked off. Not the fault of the restaurant, I know, but still impinges on enjoyment of the evening for other customers.
Great food and good service. Very reasonably priced also!
