A pleasant and interesting informative visit. The facility was well maintained and clean. Generally appeing to boomers, but there is stuff for youngsters. I found it really interesting. Whilst there we had lunch in the bistro. Excellent home made fayre served by friendly folk. Very reasonable prices
I saw this on t.v when Susan Calman visited. It was purely, by chance that I found it online as we were enroute home. What a real treat to visit. We stopped for allday breakfast, which was lush. The staff were welcoming, the food was great & the atmosphere fantastic! If you' re a fan of the film, it
The best breakfast ever. So much fabulous food, and really good value for money. Love the atmosphere here and the staff are so friendly. I didnt try one, but the cakes looked amazing.
Lovely full English breakfast with friends. Nice coffees. Very busy so second cups of coffee took a long time. Not the end of the world. I read the reviews and I decided this was a place to visit. Well worth the visit. Had a nosey in the snug .
A brief stopover on a day out for a coffee. What a great place, friendly staff and nice coffee. Didn't get to see the museum next door as it was closed but would definitely consider me back again.
I love it here, I love the quirkiness of everything, the food is fresh and tasty and homemade. There's so much to look at and it's like taking a step back in time...however, and I know it gets mega busy but there are times I've been and I can't get seated due to abandoned tables. A little trolley t
Really charming and well stocked cafe/restaurant. Great staff. Lots of variety. I hadn’t planned to be there as long as I was. However I was made welcome and looked after. I hadn’t realised that the classic film Brief Encounters was filmed there. It seems there’s a small museum dedicated this class
Had a spontaneous breakfast here this morning after our stopover from the Highlands to Devon. Service is amazing, very friendly and attentive. Loved the historic feel to the cafe and its doggy friendly!
Great breakfast at a good price. Delicious coffee.
If you love the film Brief Encounter. Visit Carnforth Station where it was made. The station cafe is a replica of the film set and great for lunch. Also a great museum relating to the film with associated memorabilia.
