This pub is situated in a stunning canal side setting. There is a car park and ample outside seating for a sunny afternoon. It has recently changed management and it is evident they are making a go of it and I wish them every success. The food - I had scampi fries and side salad, classic pub grub.and a good size portion. The side salad was iceberg lettuce 1 cherry tomato and a couple of slices of pepper. I would have rather some mixed salad leaves. My partner had canal club ciabatta which was like a spicy chicken mayo with bacon and tomato. He assures me it tasted better than it looked. (Vomit on a bun) ha The fries were nice but some would say overdone. They were dark golden and crispy I personally liked them. My only slight niggles were the choice of coffee advertised wasn't on offer and we had filter which was cold and was warmed in the microwave. My other no no was the table was sticky :/ and at one point over the coffee we nearly cancelled our order but continued in support of the small local business. It sounds as if I didn't enjoy it. I did ,.it was basic and because I'm not posh by any stretch I overlooked the niggles as I want this local pub to survive. The venue itself is beautiful and it has only been open a few weeks and I'm sure they will thrive and will be able to reinvest some profits on improving the menu. If you are looking for beautiful food near Carnforth then the Longlands is the place to go. The goats cheese and walnut salad was divine.

I had scampi and chips and the hubby had 3 large fish fingers chips and beans. The food was hot, presented nice and tasted good, the staff was friendly and they also welcome dogs if your a dog owner. Right on the canal where you can feed the ducks afterwards.

The Canal Turn in Carnforth is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. As the name says, it's on the canal turn with great views. A large beer garden with great views to watch the world go by. Great selection of food and drinks on there menu. They also offer live entertainment some nights. A place to stop off after a long walk or boating on the canal. Also a dog friendly pub.

Lovely little pub. The view next to the canal is a big attraction. Food is a good standard, nothing mind-blowing and quick and easy. Food prices are good. Excellent for a chilled stop off for lunch or some hearty food.

Cosy, simple little pub. Food selection a little small, would have liked some more smaller lunch options but the food was tasty. Dog friendly and nice views onto the canal.

Booked last minute, dog friendly which is great. Meal was lovely, so was pudding. Parking available, but didn't seem enough places for the size of the pub. The staff were friendly and polite. Food and drinks were reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and come again.

Good pub for a meal with great views and lots of outside seating next to the canal and a car park. Foods ok we had sandwiches and chips. It's not food that will wow you but decent

Been in this pub twice since reopening! New to the area but the staff are amazing and always on hand to help out! They can’t do enough for you! Great seating area inside and out and so many friendly faces. Supervisor Jordan was both professional and attentive and in control of His staff ! Must visit! Billy stott

Been before, I only ordered drinks, lipstick still on a glass, and coffee wasn't very hot, great service though, and would go again, I think it was just one of those things. So I think a 4 star rating is fair

Really friendly pub, good value with nice staff. We arrived drenched and there first priority was helping us find somewhere to dry our coats. We’ll be back again

It's a great setting with a brilliant outdoor dining area. It was extremely busy and covid had affected the staffing levels so a few hick ups with the orders on a few occasions. However we all thoroughly enjoyed a few hours basking in the sun, watching the boats sail by and enjoyed the food to.
