We stopped in on our way home from saundersfoot for some food. I've been here many times with my wife and with the R.A.T.S real ale tasting society.
Today, I enjoyed a 20 oz white heart own cut steak. Absolutely perfectly cooked (medium), it was huge. My wife had the steak and ale pie, and my son h
Wow, what an amazing place. Full of history, the place is like a museum. The staff are welcoming, there's a brewery on site and the choice on the menu is unbelievable! We had the farmers special, which consisted of a rump steak, chicken fillet, pork steak, sausage, a rack of ribs plus all the sides.
Love this pub !
First of all, the decor there was very interesting and all items with Welsh history. There's a welcoming atmosphere and the staff are very polite and friendly.
The food was DELICIOUS! A little on the expensive side, but the massive portions definitely made up for that! - We ordered
Amazing food. Really fantastic quality with a home made feel and all arrived perfectly cooked at the same time. Its nice to see the chefs cooking away and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
Update from 2nd visit and we sat outside in the sun. Food was again lovely and the staff were working raly
Beautiful Pub. Warm ecclectic interior, fantastic food and service with a huge choice on the menu, picturesque outside, so beautiful whatever the weather. We love it and are so lucky it is local to us
Great 14th Century Inn with hanging artefacts but better still large menu selection of good priced high quality food with excellent service.
Wonderful pub we found in book called ‘Wild Wales’. No wonder King Charles loved this pub when he visited!
Lovely selection of beers & ciders brewed at the pub available in bottles to take away.
Great food. We really enjoyed the Welsh cawl, cockles, bacon & laver bread.
Well done Annabelle and team!
Many years since the last visit, but still has its unique charm, comfortable bar, and collection of past treasures. Warm welcome, great range of menu and generous meals - so many to choose from. True family business.
Debit cards only!
Shame no dogs policy in bar - the only pub during our week in Wal
A rustic and historic Inn, dating back to the 1300s. A wide ranging menu, also serving Welsh dishes. A very tasty meal..
Warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Dissapointed that it is only a Debit card that is accepted as payment.
Main course menue can be a bit more varied and possibly not such a big platefull. Slightly expensive for a beggining of the week meal out.
Very good pub for Sunday lunch. Just off the M4. Interesting interior decoration everywhere. And pictures of Prince Charles at the pub! Good prices and good quality of food. Friendly staff. Parking at the front. Probably more popular with the older generations. Highly recommended.
fantastic sunday lunch friendly staff good local beverages
