Nice atmosphere, really delicious food, professional chef, waitress and waiter.
Highly recommended
We had a wonderful meal here on Saturday night. Food was so good, service impeccable and a really chilled atmosphere 👌 would definitely return and recommend anyone visiting or living in the area to go, you will not be disappointed. Thank you 😊
A delightful lunchtime visit. Everything was just perfect: lovely atmosphere, attentive, friendly service, and delicious food.
Absolutely outstanding meal at Y Polyn recently. Haven’t been in the last few years and it was definitely worth the trip.
Had the Tagliatelle to start at the portions are more than Generous. Could pass for a main meal and really delicious freshly made pasta.
Main course was the Hake, which was cooked to perfection! Would definitely recommend ordering a side of the tender stem broccoli with pine nuts.
A bit on the pricier side but the quality makes it totally worthwhile.
Saw some wonderful looking deserts during our visit so might swap the pasta for something sweet next time.
Will definitely be back soon!
Been visiting here for years and it never dissapoints.
Visited for Sunday lunch today for the first time and everything was incredible.
Great bread, great duck rillette, crispy pork belly was out of this world, side order of dauphinoise potatoes were delicious.
Desserts were probably even better, delicious plum frangipane with plum ice cream and a fantastic rhubarb knickerbocker glory.
Make sure you book in advance as it always seems busy
Delicious Sunday lunch. Beetroot salad, roasted pork with chorizo, orange cheesecake. Prices seem to have jumped £10 a head recently and a little more fancy. (£45 for 3 course without beverages) But taste was good.
Absolutely stunning Sunday Lunch at Y Polyn. Beautiful food, relaxed atmosphere. My first visit post lockdown and an absolute reminder of why I need to get back to this part of the world more often. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
Lovely lunch meal here today with friends. Couple of choices on starters, mains and desserts. Staff were amazing! Can't wait to return. They should utilise the outdoor space more and even do BBQ nights.
Found Y Polyn in the Michelin Guide whilst researching places to visited during a short break in South Wales. We visited on a Sunday lunchtime and were very impressed particularly at the price of £45 a head for three courses, a bargin for this level of cooking. My highlights were the shaved Wye Valley aspargus and rocket salad starter served with loads of shaved parmesan, amazingly crispy croutons and a wonderfully lemony dressing; and the baked white chocolated cheese cake served with roasted plums and ice cream, super indulgent! Its a shame this restaurant is so far from my house as I would be a regular if it was closer.
Stunning food everything looked and tasted amazing, so good I forgot to take a picture of my main course. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. We went on a Sunday Lunchtime very good value for money....will definitely be returning
A real joy to find a restaurant a big cut above the average. Compliments to the chef. Really good food, sensible portions, great menu, great staff. What else can I say.
Great service, food was superb and really had a great time. Will definitely go again 😋
This restaurant is the best if you want to eat with your family and friends. The menu is extraordinary, there is a wide range of dishes . It's worth it.
Absolutely outstanding food tonight. The nicest food we've had for a very long time. Staff very pleasant and service amazing.
A lovely recommendation and we weren't disappointed. Great food with a warm welcome & excellent service
First time here as we had a voucher as a gift.
Lovely place and fantastic food
Service was very quick and friendly.
We would recommend to anyone wishing for a great meal and night out
Fantastic food at what we thought to be very fair pricing for the standard. Great service from friendly staff - they were understanding and accommodating in a tricky situation which meant we turned up with a smaller party than we originally booked for. A must visit.
Absolutely fabulous - the excellence of the cookery and lack of fuss speaks volumes. As the website says no pretention just Great local, seasonal ingredients presented with love and more than a little skill. Being able to sleep over in our motorhome makes this a perfect destination.
One of the nicest experiences we had when visiting Wales in February this year. After some frankly catastrophic meals, this was a shining beacon of excellence. Well worth it, after a day out at the Botanic Gardens, to round off a lovely day.
