This is the only fish shop in the whole of Carlisle that I use, the food is always excellent as is the service. Definitely the best fish and chips

Great gluten free experience. Coeliacs can eat with confidence here... the shop uses a separate GF fryer but ring half an hour ahead with your order in case it isnt on. GF fish and chips which was excellent. Partner said the gravy and cheesy chips were also good. Photo is of GF portion.

Didn't know the area as just staying for the weekend. Found this place and glad we did. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Had a smoked sausage supper and a sausage supper. Batter was crispy and tasty, chips were exactly what you want from chippy chips, bit of colour and lots of taste. We like different things from curry sauce so we had one of each. Chinese curry sauce is smooth, chippy curry sauce has the bits in. So we were both happy, although smooth is always the way to go. Also had some chicken bites with sweet chilli sauce (you get a choice of sauce) which were also cooked perfectly and very tasty.

Chip shops are chip shops. They sell the same stuff on the whole. This one is very organised and very clean... however... their home made steak pie is absolutely fantastic. Full of steak and as it's part of a large pie cut up not loads of pastry. So often I feel disappointed when I eat out, feel I could have done as well at home, but not with this. Onion gravy wasn't bad either! My husband enjoyed the fish and chips
