Had a suprise 40th in there 2 weeks ago as they now do buffets,15 people I had there had the whole top bit by the windows to ourselves exellent buffet and even took 2 trays home what we hadn't eaten,highly recommend for small buffets and meals οΏ½ well done gosling such a good idea for small party's
What can I say about this place again. Value for money yes and awesome food.

Food, staff and price is excellent. Everytime l have visited recently it's been first class. They are now doing steak and sausage as well as the Mr Woof Chester dry meals, all the dogs love it there especially the ice cream desert. I go now on a regular basis because of the great offers on meals, total bargain. The staff are so friendly it's a home from home. π€©πΎπβπ¦Ί
Was here tonight for a cheap and cheerful catchup with friends. We had booked a table which I'm glad avoid as was very busy for a Tuesday night. Told there was a 45 minute in food but it came out within 30 minutes. Food was lovely. Only downside was food came out slowly 1 at a time so some were eating and some weren't. Staff all lovely and welcoming.
Had the XL mixed grill last night and the meat was outstanding, moist, cooked perfect and really tasty. I was really surprised of the quality to be honest, probably the best meat I've had on a mix grill and I've paid alot more in other pubs.
Love the Gosling. Whenever we go, whether it's peak time or a quiet time, the staff are always friendly, attentive and Helpful. The food is good value for money and always hot and on time. They always keep you up to date with any delays. Friendly and accommodating and always welcoming to our dog π who loves it in here. Sarah is a lovely girl and always makes us feel welcome. We love our local π
We've gone in first time on our new year's day family jaunt and absolutely loved it... Firstly staff all nice, chatty & helpful most of all.
Literally service as you want it, ordered for 6 with confidence order wouldn't be messed up, the food was superb, steak π₯© cooked to perfection gammon cooked to perfection, all food no issues all hot came at same time, puddings top line as well... Special mentions to the serving on staff & chefs 1230 new year's day, top job ladies and gents π everything from pasta to chips to steak & even the eggs was perfect, everyone very happy, such a big order as well.... Bravo we'll be backπππ
I was in last night with my family as it is always one of my favourite places to go. Always very good service and food was amazing as always piping hot and quicker than expected. Only downside is that the toilets are looking a little bit out dated could do with a freshen up.
Arrived for our stay at the Premier Inn at the beginning of a busy Friday night. Sarah was great at finding a table for us so our hungry 5 year old could get his tea after a 5 hour journey. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait for food but it turned up after 20. Very happy child and chilled parents after a drink! Thanks Sarah and the team for being so welcoming even when busy.
Upon arrival it was extremely busy for a Monday evening, however Sarah quickly found us a table. The serving staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was lovely and fresh.
Was in for a meal last night, it was very busy and forgot to book beforehand but they managed to get me a table without having to wait. The staff very friendly and service was brilliant. We were told about 30 minutes wait for food but came sooner and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Will certainly be back again.

Busy pub with nice and friendly staff. Lively atmosphere. Steak and ale, & fish and chips were lovely. Next to Premiere Inn. This was our early dinner before the last leg for Glasgow. Ample parking, outside seating area was nice and tidy. Reasonable prices. We ordered via the app, drinks and food arrived within 20 minutes of ordering despite the activity in the area. Real teamworking at play here. One staff meeting and greeting customers with or without booking, a couple of staff bringing food and doing the usual in-between meals check, another staff serving at the bar and looking after the till ... an awesome sight quite frankly. We left impressed with the whole experience.
A good meal served nicely and in a short time based on number of people in. The food tasted good as well. Quicker service and better food than a sister place in Carlisle.
Food is good, cheaper family meal with various offers through the week. Service is always friendly. It does get busy so reservations are needed, thankfully we made one π
Food absolutely amazing. Ate in here for 2 nights whilst staying at the premier inn. Highly recommend the food. Very busy but staff very helpful.
