I had cod and chips from here last night. They were as good as any Iβve ever had. They were both prepared to order and the batter was tasty and not greasy. Excellent!!
Thank you so much to the staff at Oktays, I went in today with a request of getting a pizza delivered for my husband who was working on our anniversary, they were fantastic and delivered him a heart shaped pizza β€ . I would highly recommend!

Haven't eaten here yet but when collecting an item from the back section of the chippy by Trafford Fireplaces a fella sat out back (30's? short black hair) helped us load our car and gave us a bungee tie down for nothing in return. Very friendly and positive experience.
Whenever I am in Carlisle I try to make it to this Chippy. Friendly staff and fresh food, crispy batter and good chips, not to mention a choice of 2 types of curry source. My personal favourite is a large battered sausage and chips with a carton of Chinese curry sauce. (It's best to dip into the curry rather than have it poured over the top I find, but each to their own. )
I have used this chip shop many many times, both collections and delivery and find fresh cooked food every time, I especially like the large size of the portions, the kebab meat ( I love the thin slices) may not be for everyone, but always fresh as with the haggis and blackpudding.
The delivery service for me has been excellent, very quick resulting in good hot food.

so we ordered the the chippy box, for the kids (pluss us) it was value for money π°
if you haven't yet tried the 'Oakdale Chippy Box' ur missing out, there's enough within its servings, trust me π

Was only visiting Carlisle for a few days, and really fancied fish and chips. This was a great choice as the quality was good, and the portions generous.

Friendly first impressions Polite receptionist on the phone gave advice on food digestive labels such as Halal . Friendly Owner delivery driver . Good tasty freshly Cooked Chips made in separate oil , The takeaway can cater for growing Islamic Community in the future please ask.

This is a really good chip shop in a great location. Lots of street parking around available free although parking disc advised just incase. Chips and pattie is exellent also liked the gravy. Staff were really friendly. Prices are very reasonable.
Lovely selection of food.. including pizzas. Staff very friendly and helpfull and will go out of their way for you.. I would definitely recommend Oktays. His opening are great too.
Fantastic fish. Delicious curry sauce. A splendid, old-fashioned little chippy. Highly recommended.
