Stands out from most other Chinese take aways in Carlisle for taste and quality. Bigger portion size than most. Tried three dishes this evening- all excellent.

Really enjoyed our meal tonight. The meal was ready bang on time, which was amazing considering it was peak time on a Friday evening. It was piping hot and everyone enjoyed their choice. The spring rolls were delicious

The menu is so crispy and very very very very very very very very very very very wide range of food on the menu. The teenager who took my order is a attractive young chap. The food is the main point of discussion so lets discuss. I ordered plain rice. It was delicious. The best rice in the world. The chef must be at least a graduate of Gordon Ramsey because this rice opened my eyes to the world of Chinese food. I would recommend the happy garden, to anyone, but only if you are happy to go on a cultural experience and let your taste buds cross the world of China.
Fresh food but needs more flavour
First time using this takeaway and really impressed. I had the Singapore chow mein which was so hot and tasty. Others I have had had no spiciness. My husband enjoyed his beef curry and chips. Spring rolls to start were delicious.
Definitely reccomend this takeaway.
Only place we go to now. Food is always hot and good portion sizes. Sweet and sour sauce is the best I've found not like syrup and not runny and bright pink! Always the kids pick for a takeaway

10/10 would absolutely keep visiting. Best sweet and sour chicken balls in Carlisle. The sauce actually has flavour and isnt syrup. And the salt and chilli chicken is to die for!
