Well just popped in as England lioness were playing Australia and wow they won nice airy pub eating house friendly helpful staff I had fish freshly cooked chips and peas delicious my companion had grilled gamon egg chips and peas he was very impressed also unfortunately no coffee today a shame 😋

This newly refurbished venue is extremely smart. The rest rooms were also stylish and clean. It is close to the train station and clearly popular with passengers. Our food was served promptly. Arrived in Carlisle Saturday lunch time and was so glad we got to eat at The Griffin ! The Hunters chicken was the best meal i have ever had and my wife was just as happy with her meal Gammon and chips. Staff were incredibly helpful and ever so kind to our dog and what a beautifully decorated place
