Loved the venue. My train was cancelled so had a cheeky beer 🍺 and a panini. Nice to see an Independent business for a change. Paying was really tasty, loads of options for fillings including a Build your own option. Staff were really lovely and beer was good, definitely appreciated given the heat
A cosy little bar on the platform in Carlisle Station that I presume used to be the old waiting room is worth a visit to stop by while you wait for your train. It is quite pricey though, the mulled wine I had was £6.50 but to be honest if I had more time before my train I probably would have had ano
Very cosy and great choice of products including extensive range of gin. Lovely coffee. The best I have tasted in a long time. Great place to relax when waiting for train...and to wait if your train is delayed - wonderful high ceilings and magnificent fireplaces..and friendly staff...
A snapshot of 'transport transience'! Nearly everyone here is in transit yet still the tranquility is curiously addictive. The choice of music is personal and unobtrusive, the food (check availability) is simple but well presented, enough to slate the thirst (draught beers as well as the usual) and
Just had a tea waiting for my train, friendly staff, local independent business. Price good for where it is, but the room is the 5* attraction, So unexpected from the platform. Too many plus points to mention, just call in the next time your waiting for a train or even in Carlisle.
Quiet but friendly. A huge conversion from Carlisle Station former glory with easy access to the platform to London. Check out the bacon roll! Good beer too, rhubarb was on tap when I was there, but would have rendered me incapable with a train to catch. Opening hours are daytime (at the moment), I
Bit of a gem. Two local ales on tap. Cakes and other snacks. Very friendly service. Right next to platform 4. Much nicer than the usual train station offering.
Lovely little bar. Friendly staff. Just been in with my granddaughter. She had a lovely milkshake and I had a much needed vodka after being delayed
Absolutely lovely refreshment stop, beautiful building , staff was nice, polite and helpful
A great asset for the station, situated in what I presume was the original waiting room? Lovingly maintained this piece of history maybe a little pricey compared to Wetherspoons around the corner, but boasts a good selection of cask ales including a few craft too. A lovely place to spend an hour adm
Decent station bar (platform 6) to wait for your delayed train. A nice choice of beers and an impressive old wooden ceiling to contemplate on. Cash only when I was in... matches the ceiling.
I pleas an interest as I helped fund the restoration of this bar through my work a decade ago. Good to see it still going well. The restored room and is ceilings are excellent, had a very good pint whilst changing trains, good service. Worth a visit if you're there gor both the ale and the buildi
Good selection of local ales, quick service and nicely decorated. Great addition to the Carlisle train station.
Nice place for a drink while waiting on a train. Never eat so can't say anything about food. Offers discount for CAMRA members.
A very welcome break whilst waiting for our train lovely staff
