I picked this place as it was mentioned as dog friendly.
Walked in and checked and was told 'we love dogs here' by a lovely lady.
Ordered a latte and even before it arrived the dog was given bowl of water.
Coffee arrived and I ordered a bacon and sausage roll.

Food was exceptional and for the quality, it's very reasonably priced.
We had 3 soft drinks and a tea .
A flat iron steak baguette and chips.
Soup and a flat iron baguette.
It amounted to just under 30 pounds 💷 .
Good atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff.

Late take away, though price is a bit high, but the coffee get its quality.
Lovely dog friendly cafe - the server brought out a bowl of water for my dog on his own accord, which was greatly appreciated! The Christmassy turkey sandwich was delicious as was the poached eggs and advocado. No pictures of the food but the cleaned empty plates must say something!
I stayed at The Halston and decided to grab breakfast at Barton’s Yard. I was surprised at how inexpensive the food was when reading the menu. I decided on the full English and can safely say it is the best I’ve ever had. Everything was outstanding and used with top quality produce. Service and vibe

Often go to the bartons yard to have business lunches and find the service and the food really good for entertaining clients. One of the best spots in carlisle to do this at based on my experience. Tip: get the #eggsbenedict it's a must.

I go here all the time for business meetings. They serve Bruce and Lukes coffee, and it's always delicious. They have also recently started to do Unicorn Tears Gin, which I tried last time I was in!
Love Bartons Yard - warm, good food, good coffee and young man front of house is very friendly and happy to help. Wish it was open more!
Had lovely afternoon tea for mother's birthday. Great selection of sandwiches etc. Lovely atmosphere and very attentive service.
Impressive addition to the Carlisle social scene. Already building up a very good atmosphere and has got the balance between drinkers only and diners spot on.
