This is a lovely pub to sit outside and watch the world go by on a Summers Sunday afternoon. It's a lovely traditional pub which serves good beer and other alcoholic beverages. In the winter they put pretty fairy lights in the trees which is lovely to sit underneath at the tables. The table is situated on a very busy main road fwhich brings a lot of traffic from Junction 44 of the M6. There is parking round the back which is a bit dodgy to get back out of onto the main road but some kind sole will eventually let you out. The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is lovely.

Lovely decorated dining area, we arrived on the change of the new menu which did have some simple food but a fair bit of spice on others. Having spoken to the manager/ owner we were able to adapt to our requirements. Absolutely fabulous food and atmosphere. Will definitely go again. Made to feel very welcome. THANKYOU

Excellent meals at very affordable prices. Great service by friendly staff. Grahame is a superb host. We've been here many times and always thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I can recommend the Coach and Horses.

Newly changed hands and trying very hard to please - and they do please. Excellent Sunday lunch at a very reasonable price, plus a fantastic vegetarian option. Piping hot; quickly served; large portions. Hard to give five stars as the atmosphere isn't quite there yet, but with food and service like this I am sure they will fill up soon. Not far from the M6 - and a lot nicer than any service station. Plenty of parking.

Friendly staff. Food portions enormous and very good value. Salad was lovely. Chips were excellent but the chicken dish I chose had an odd taste. Could quite easily have had 1 meal between 2 of us.

Just stopped off here while staying at the Premier Inn and reading the reviews. Staff are attentive and welcoming and the food is excellent. Seriously top shelf pub grub. I had the black pudding stack for starters and steak pie slab for main. Both were tasty and hot when served. Would recommend stopping here for a drink or food.

What a welcome! We called ahead whilst driving down the m74 in the hope that we could find somewhere to eat: somewhere we could take children and also our 13 week old puppy. We were welcome in the bar with the dog, and even though there was no childrens menu - there was the offer of smaller portions on most of the menu. Food was delicious, staff were warm and welcoming - even the locals offered to look after the dog while we ate. Win win! A definite recommendation!

First time visit . Family meal. The starters we had was lovely but portion sizes just a tad to big but lovely. Meals lovely steak pie could of been a bit hotter . It wasn't cold but it wasn't hot either. How ever it was lovely . We really enjoyed the meals and we will be back .

I went there for lunch with my Mother today. The steak pie which my Mum ordered was apparently delicious and I really enjoyed the vegetarian chilli with rice. The portions were very generous and reasonably priced too. You can get tea and coffee as well as the usual wines, beers and spirits. Good car parking. Toilet facilities are clean but very basic.

It's on the site of an old coaching Inn, the existing building was built in 1929 and has plenty of character. Home cooked food from Tuesday to Sunday reasonably priced and good quality. A good range of beers including real ale. The bar is a sports bar football based, the dining area is homely and traditional, the custodians are very welcoming. Overall a good place to visit.

We had a lovely Sunday roast and burger for our meals. The staff was brilliant and so helpful. We wish them the best and will definitely stop in, when next in the area.
