Had Sunday lunch at The Swan. Food was on the table nice and quick. Can not fault the Sunday roast at all. Really enjoyed it would highly recommend
Excellent food, very friendly staff, and social distancing protocols in place. Awesome very garden with a view of the old cotton mill. Everything was great, would definitely come back if in the area
Have been several times since it has reopened under new management and it has been excellent every time.
Food is amazing, lots of choice (including for Veggies, vegans and gluten free) and very fresh with good portions.
Staff are great, really friendly and accommodating. We went with a big party for Sunday lunch and they moved us to an alternative table when we arrived to give us more space with no fuss which was great.
Beer garden lovely out the back and now gated which makes it feel safer for kids/dogs.
Plenty of car parking available which is great.
Dog friendly, water bowls readily available and treats on the bar.
Recommend to anyone in the area, definitely worth a visit!
Went with family and a dog, nice friendly relaxed atmosphere. Good choice of drinks at a fair price. Nice menu, i had the steak and ale pie followed by bakewell sponge with ice cream, i was told the pie was home maid, it was filled with plenty of steak and looked really professionally made.highly recommend that you try this lovely country pub.

Vegan review:
Stopped here on our way home from walking up Pen-y-Ghent. It was extremely busy as it was a bank holiday but we phoned half an hour ahead and were able to secure a table in the bar! Our friend’s dog was with us and there were lots of other dogs in the bar area too.
There was plenty to choose from on the vegan menu! I opted for Penang curry which came with turmeric rice. I ordered extra curry sauce which wasn’t a problem! The food was lovely, I did keep adding salt and pepper though!
There were 4 vegan desserts to decide between, these were listed on the normal menu. I went for the raspberry and almond tart which came with soya cream, this was nice but could’ve been a bit sweeter!
I also had a decaf, caramel latte with almond milk.
A couple of the items were listed as vegan by mistake, so just check before you order.
The service was pretty quick, the food was good and the atmosphere was great, and prices were reasonable.
Chocolate was served with the bill, not vegan though.
I’d come here again!
Fantastic service throughout the week our large party (40+) has been in the area. Have gone above and beyond to accommodate us all and make us feel welcome 🙏 we all look forward to our return. 100% recommended
Recently reopened. Good home cooked food. Vegetarians in our group particularly impressed by cheese and onion pie.

Very warm and friendly welcome, we stopped on the off chance for food after visiting Yarndale and even though they were fully booked they sorted us a table, made us feel very welcome, we had roast dinner and sticky toffee pudding and it was really delicious, we will definitely return when in the area, staff were so polite and helpful, a lovely place to dine.

Held our daughters wedding reception at The Swan Inn. Brilliant, staff were attentive, service was superb and food delicious. Could not have chosen a better place. Highly recommended. Special thanks to Heidi and the rest of the team, you did the bride and groom proud.
