Amazing atmosphere, fantastic food. Loved this place, the “unauthentic tacos” are a nice niche concept done and delivered really well. Made for a really interesting experience we really enjoyed. Having spent quite a while in Mexico, it felt quite familiar as well. Really refreshing to see they mix up the menu every once in a while, but if you can get in there whilst they’re doing El Suico Pork Tacos then definitely don’t miss out. Will definitely be back when in the area.

Always wanted to visit this place when I go to Cardiff but never had the opportunity until now. The food I had here was really tasty but extremely messy to eat, especially if you had it to take away. However, the staff were really lovely and accomodating to me as they were just about to close the kitchen. I do wish I tried other options as the value was really good! This review is purely based off that takeaway I had then and just off that I cant wait to return. Until next time!

A great taco place, with a rotating menu of interesting tacos. I had the jerk chicken tacos (you get 3 for £9) and was thoroughly impressed, really flavourful and slightly fruity, the atmosphere was great too, with very friendly staff. Will definitely return.

I've had an excellent time at La Pantera. The staff is really pleasant; I've been served by Beth twice, and she has been very helpful and accommodating. The atmosphere is there, with excellent decor. The weekly change in menu is innovative and an excellent idea, the concept of inauthentic tacos is really cool as well. The food is well worth the price, for the taste; it is quality over quantity. A place I'll return to often, paycheck allowing!

Sadly I’m from Yorkshire so it won’t be a regular visit for me. Best tacos I’ve ever had. You can tell the staff are passionate about tequila and mezcal too. Gem of a place

Amazing little Mexican restaurant in the city center, great vibes, food, drinks, service. I went with my sister twice during our visit in Cardiff and enjoyed it both times.!

Delicious cocktails and authentic Mexican food! I come from Texas and was thoroughly impressed by the authenticity of the food. Properly spicy margarita and some juicy and flavorful tacos.

Been wanting to try this place for ages, was waiting for a weekly menu on Instagram that really made me go 'oooh definitely want to try that' and it finally arrived, the same time as the breakfast menu coming so ended up visiting twice in one week! First visit was absolutely great, I walked in with no clue whether I had to grab a table first or order etc so when I walked in, I was greeted by a nice guy and asked if I'd been before to which I answered no, so he showed me to a table and said he be back in a couple of minutes to explain everything which was great and took away my initial questions. Just as I was trying to read the menu again up on the wall, the same guy walked outside, grabbed the giant menu board, brought in and popped it next to my table for me. He then sat with me and went through each menu item and answered my questions on some of the flavours. I ordered the 'ode to Dorothys' with a side of Escebeche. Food is cooked right there in the little kitchen at the front and was wonderful. Really tasty tacos with a lot of flavour and clear care put into it. The guys that work there are really good fun and you can only have a good time. I had a great experience for my first visit. Went back for breakfast a few days later with a friend for her birthday. I was recognised when I walked in lol. The breakfast menu doesn't change so I had the smoked haddock quesadilla. It was so packed with flavour and utterly gorgeous, smoked haddock, creamed leeks, spinach, hollandaise and Applewood cheddar. If you don't usually have smoked haddock for breakfast at home, then you should definitely try it when you're here, simply because you normally wouldn't. Service is fab, you're constantly checked on to see if everything is ok and if you need anything else, we were offered extra coffee on our breakfast trip. Contactless payments are accepted, details are taken for track and trace. Five star service, five star food.
