I love this place, mama’s special biryanis is a thing of dreams!! Honestly the best I’ve ever had. I could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hats off to your mama! I’m going to be back soon � �
Excellent tasty food and quality service. Mama's is a family run business, genuinely nice people, food available at the takeaway or by delivery. They prepare their food with real care and attention and that shows in the taste. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delighted by the food and hospitality of the owners! I ate chicken biriyani from them and that was special! I was missing my home country and the food and cordiality of the owner's of the takeaway reminded me of my home! Excellent for both the halal and vegetarian food seekers!

Ordered direct from the restaurant. I don't use third party companies because they take an enormous chunk of the payment which doesn't seem fair when its a small family owned place. I requested that the Dhansak be extremely spicy (to suit my taste) and it was spiced to perfection. My wife's tikka masala was of the highest order. Even came with a few extra "tasties" for an extremely competitive price compared to anything else in the Cyncoed and Lakeside area.

Staff are always really helpful and friendly, and although it tends to be a little wait for delivery it is so so worth it. We love the occasional little freebie treat in there - it has resulted in my partner having a new favourite of Mama’s Gobi which he now orders every time. Also loving the NHS deal at the moment and the customer service is fantastic. Lovely people and delicious food.
I've been there about 20 times and like the food. They often throw in some extra onion bhargis too. One good thing is that they do offer lower oil options so you can just mention this as you order.
Lots of reviews have mentioned slow delivery times and mixing up orders. One order was mixed up, but that was on new year's eve so I guess it was just very busy. Another thing I'd suggest is waiting at least 5-10 mins longer than the 30 mins they say, as it's unlikely to be that quick. I've never used the delivery option.

We've been ordering almost every week throughout a couple of months and they've never let us down, every order been done to perfection and every single time we felt like the last one was so much better than the previous ones, yet our first impression of this place was beyond awesome!

Very pleased that we've found this place, yet it ruined any other curry for me and my partner, nothing is good enough as what we get here.

They really put customers first, I had a special request which they sorted out quickly. The food was brilliant, both the chips and the curry was perfect, the boxes are very good value and there are so many options to choose from. We will definitely visit them again.
Have used this takeaway three times now and each time the food is delicious. The staff are friendly and polite and have noticed they take hygiene seriously and all wear face masks in the kitchen. I cannot comment on the delivery side of it as have always picked up the order which has been ready on the stated time. Highly recommended.
First time trying Mama's and we will definately be using them again. Food was gorgeous, no greasy pools floating on the top when you open the tub, just good quality ingredients and cooking. The batter on the bhaji was tasty and crunchy. We used Uber Eats app and delivery was on time and food was hot. Would definitely recommend Mama's 👌🏼
Had a takeaway from here a couple of weeks ago, and it was delicious. Ordered again today, and every bit as good. Generous amounts of chicken and lamb in the dishes, and very tasty. Not oily or greasy as some Indian takeaways can be. Highly recommended - will definitely be using again.
I ordered the vegan garlic bread, mango chutney, mamas special vegan fried rice, vegan khalapuri, and bombay aloo. The khalapuri was very nice, I enjoyed it a lot. The garlic bread and mango chutney were very good. I thought the bombay aloo was average, and unfortunately the special vegan fried rice wasn't very special. To me it just seemed like plain rice fried with frozen vegetables? I was disappointed and I would not order that rice again. However, I would consider ordering from this restaurant again, as the curry was tasty. My only criticism would be that it is too oily. The food arrived in good time. I would recommend this restaurant, upon that they take into consideration to improve their vegan food. There is so much that can be done, and I don't think charging for frozen vegetables is acceptable. Thank you Mamas, I did like my food :)
