Regular fish and chip shop, but has a separate vegan menu that they fry separately from non-vegan items. Includes: Quorn battered sausage, battered mushrooms, battered cauliflower, vegan strips and a number of other items. Tasty food and friendly service.

First, I visit both store lications (Pentwny and Whitchurch) and there is a disparity in the quality and service between the two. Starting with Whitchurch: The service isnt great. I'be been in several times and there have been large numbers of people waiting for an order, yet you'll see staff wandering around aimlessly or chatting instead of serving or preparing. They dont prioritise grab and go orders, so there is often a long wait for simple orders simply because the 5 people ahead are waiting for fish to be cooked. (I once was asked to wait 20 minutes after ordering a single pie that was on shelf ready to go...?) The food quality is typically good but again theres a disparity between locations, with the chips here being lovely but battered products missing the mark (over or under cooking). Pentwyn: Service is better but again, if you are in a queue, even simple orders will have you waiting. The staff are however always active and friendly. I prefer the side orders and fish from this location, always done perfectly. The chips are a bit hit and miss though. I've had several experiences whereby the chips are undercooked. But, overal the food and service are good.

Brilliant fish and chips. Sadly they were out of stock on two sides that we ordered - mushy peas and tartare, but they tried everything to let us know and wrote a lovely note to us letting us know they had tried everything to contact us (order was placed through Uber eats and it’s awful at letting restaurants contact customers so I don’t hold this against them at all) and to apologise for the missing items. I really appreciate that honesty and effort from a business. Our helpings were huge, the chips were cooked perfectly and the fish was spot on - delicate flesh and crispy batter and still hot even after being in a delivery box on the ride from Whitchurch to our house in Taffs Well. Potato fritters are brilliant too. Cheers for a lovely Monday pick me up.

Always perfect fish as it is cooked to order only. Chips can be a bit hit & miss if you go between 2-4 pm, doesn't bother me as I only want a few as the standard cod is large that and where else stays open all day for fish and chips!!

Excellent fish and chips but do not just turn up at any of the locations unless you are prepared to queue. It’s quality food and very popular, so allow waiting time or order ahead.
