The baristas are really friendly and the store is nice and clean too. It’s a good space for studying! Both the iced latte and the iced tea are good drink options, especially in the summer months.
However, the store could do with a refurbish.
I was having quite a down day and the baristas behind the counter were really friendly, chatted with me about Christmas, has Christmas jumpers on and pretty much made my day. I wish every customer service experience was like this because we would all be better off. Thank you ☺️

I come in here a lot and the staff is friendly and sometimes they bring your food over to you when they are not busy servicing customers

Being a bit of a Costa fan I visit many various outlets. On this occasion I have to highly commend this store and its staff led by Tom and assisted by James, Rob and Brian for their excellent customer service and interaction. They communicate with their customers as if they are friends rather than customers. As soon as I walked in today James instantly remembered what I had last time! There is no corporate type chat just good old down to earth genuine chat, oh and excellent coffee of course!

I was here 30th April and came here as my friend was running late and I needed a place to wait as I was feeling unwell.
I bought a large latte but a member of staff ( Donna) recognised I was ill and brought me water and checked in on me.
I recently was hospitalised for covid induced pneumonia and have since been struggling with breathing problems and low blood pressure.

10/10 would recommend this Costa Coffee store on Albany Road. The workers (including the lovely young female and male behind the counter and the store manager Thomas) dealt with an issue I had very professionally - I can only praise, commend and admire the way the way they had communicated with me today in the store. Collectively, they had provided me with a clear and coherent explanation for the issue, apologised and made me feel very valued as a customer. Phenomenal customer service, well done to the team working today on 09/06/2021 - extremely impressed and will be recommending this store to family, friends and other Cardiff University students in the area. The staff were fantastic, very friendly. Love the fact that they have a book swap table. You can take a book off the table home as long as you leave a book in its place. When asked why they do this, the chappie told me that it's to get people away from their mobile phones, and give them something else to do instead of looking at the phones all the time. Oh yeah, coffee was quite possibly the best I've had for a long time!
Great coffee and atmosphere. Staff are very friendly. It's a nice place to meet up and chill for a bit and watch the wild rush by outside. It's a clean and well lit place. Parking can be an issue at very busy times. If your luck is on, you can park directly outside. Buses are very regular.
Love a good old Costa coffee, and who doesn't. I know you have your little coffee snobs when it comes to choosing Costa, Nero, Starbucks, simply who cares.. its coffee at the end of the day. Costa on Albany Road have some of the best services I've seen towards their customers to be honest.
Always friendly staff who are eager to help and chat if they have time. Nice for bringing old and young. Would highly recommend it for a meeting place with friends or for a quiet coffee with a newspaper/computer/ phone. Good selection of drinks and eats.
