Great place. Old style pub. Great Real ales, and atmosphere. Off the beaten track.
A nice little country pub with a relaxing atmosphere. Pub offers a wide ranging menu that covers several tastes, and is very reasonably priced. Portion sizes were excellent. Their homemade hand cut chips were probably the best we've had. Establishment has plentiful seating and was fully covid compliant.
Customer service was excellent!
Definitely visiting again soon.
Interesting name but I didn't see any horse nor met the Jockey :P This is a nice place to chill - alone, with friends and family. There is a good variety of food and drinks. I'd recommend it if you want a different space to chill, though not as picturesque for a tourist.
Wonderful time here. Food was lovely, waiting staff was amazing, forgot his name, but was an absolute perfect gentleman.

What a fantastic little pub. Went with our children and German Shepherd on Saturday evening. Greeted with water for the dog straight away. Food was delicious, staff were amazing. Nice to go out and be treated how you should be. Such a relaxed atmosphere.

We have not been to horse & jockey for quite a few years now but now we have move back to Cardiff we will be going there more often Love the place so warm and welcoming and Friendly staff also. We had a lovely meal to what great service a lovely place. Also dog friendly love it.
Lovely warm friendly atmosphere, serving excellent food. I'm a big fan of their beef curry, really succulent prices of meat in a tasty, medium hot sauce packed full cinnamon and other spice flavours 😁

Love this pub - lovely"old" ambience , warm & friendly. Semi rural setting. Also allows dogs, so must be a good place. Have had a few meals & never been disappointed. Prices are a decent average. Always manage to get parking.

As for the pub it's self, wonderful. Food is delicious, staff are wonderful. Heather is so accommodating. Lively little pub.
We only popped in for an hour, taking my Cousin who was visiting Cardiff, we ended up staying for four hours. What a cosy, comfortable, pub and the Landlady was amazing - as was the barlady - both very welcoming and interesting to talk to. The service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. If I hadn't cooked dinner already we would have stayed and had food too. Definitely on my Cousin's calendar for a return visit.
Simple, real pub. Good honest food, spot on for an easy tasty lunch and sneaky pint.
We went when it was a little bit quiet so probably received the best of the best in service. Brought my dog a bowl of water the moment we entered and the food was some of the best 'pub grub' I've ever had, absolutely stunning portion of ribs n the brownie was excellent. Couldn't recommend high enough and worth the only review I've ever written!
