In my opinion Pettigrew Bakery is the best scratch bakery in Cardiff, if not further afield. Wonderful freshly baked, flavourful goods with a wide range of both savoury and sweet. The staff are wonderful and the owners have a great passion for their business and it shows. I love Pettigrew Bakeries..........and don't forget the Pettigrew Tearooms, my favourite escape.

Visited this amazing bakery on my travels last month . The staff are friendly and helpful. Just the look of all that is on display; is enough to make one hungry. Had Welsh cakes , beautiful texture and not too sweet. bura brith had just enough dried fruits and spices, sour bread tasty and not too heavy, croissant was buttery and crispy on the outside, chocolate brownies ..... to die for. Need to go back and try other stuff. Only problem, the distance!! I am from Oz. So for anyone visiting Cardiff, this is a MUST stop. To all at Pettigrew Bakery up the good work !!

Well done for bringing a bright and exciting new bakery to Victoria Park. It has given the whole area a lift. It looks good from the outside and inside - wow, clean, crisp and bright with lovely smells of fresh bread. I bought a superb loaf of sourdough today fresh from the oven. Cakes, pastries and freshly filled sandwiches look enticing too, I will be back promptly. Lunch sorted too! Thank you. (Oh and lovely to see the previous shop owner sitting in the shop window having a cup of coffee and pancake!)

Me and my wife quite often get a chocolate brownie from here as a weekend treat, they are the best brownies around! We've also tried a nice fresh white loaf which was lovely too.

Wow! This place is just so beautifully done and the bread, cakes, sandwiches, sausage rolls and everything is just so delicious. I was salivating just looking at everything that was on offer. Having a wonderful bakery like this on our doorstep is a real treat. Thank you for opening here! And if you do decide to run a home delivery box scheme type thing then do let me know because I would definitely be keen.

A beautiful traditional bakery with so much variety on offer and a really friendly, prompt service. I especially loved the fact you can see everything being made. Our bread and meringues were delicious and we will be returning very soon. The very best of luck and thank you for bringing Pettigrew bakeries to Victoria park!

We visited three Pettigrew locations during our stay in Cardiff! Stuff we tried: 1..Creme brulee croissant (10 out of 10): creme diplomat is divine, crunchy exterior tops it off...visited two days in a row for this! 2. Plum Danish (10/10): really top notch laminated dough, jam filled center, and generous cream with lovely slices of plum on top. On par with the creme brulee croissant as my favorite 3. Cheese Mustard Crown (7/10): very good, savory deliciousness, with tear apart cheesy goodness 4. Sausage Roll (6/10): decent sausage roll, but nothing to shout about 5. Semolina sourdough: review is TBD! Customer Service: we dropped one of our coffees on the floor while fumbling with our bag of pastries. The barista was kind enough to brew another Americano for us, and quickly mopped the floor while we apologized profusely. I really appreciate their gesture and reassurance that it was ok and that things like this happen 🙏🏻🥺 Seating: There is no seating inside at the Victoria Park location, but there are picnic tables outside.

Friendly staff, wonderful bakes, a diverse variety of savoury and sweet with many vegan options! Definitely recommend to go!! You can even have a stroll through the park after, as it is right next to it :)) it does get quite busy on weekends so you may have to wait in line but the wait is worth it!

Artisan bakery with some unique products (chocolate sourdough) and fancy pastries. I had a sausage roll 6/10, and a cinnamon bun 8/10.

I was hoping to get a breakfast roll but they only do those on Sundays. Not disappointed with my consolation items though. The croissants are amazing, they're big, fluffy, crispy on the outside and doughy in the middle like the ones you get in France 😍 Also got some of their sausage rolls and custard doughnuts which I've tried before and are amazing. Had a taster of their stollen bites too and I'll definitely be going back to buy a box, even though they're £5 odd, it's the best tasting stollen I've ever had, and I've eaten a bit of stollen.

We moved to the area recently and found this bakery by accident. For past 2 months me and my son go there every week and it’s our little tradition to go for fresh bread. I must say rye sourdough bread it’s a perfection. Plus my little boy always get sausage roll and he loves it. Prices are not too high! You pay for what you get and it’s worth it. Coffee is amazing too! :) Only downside was that they run out of bread I always buy, but it is my own fault for coming late.

We found this bakery in a Sunday morning accidentally a few months ago. We were wondering why people are queuing more than 20 minutes early in the morning, so we decided to have a look. First, we started with a nice bread and then continuing with sweets from croissants to biscuits or vegan products. All are delicious and high quality. I lived in France for a couple of years and we know they are famous for their bakery, but I never tasted so high quality croissants like in this bakery. The quality is amazing 😉 they are far much better than the French croissants. Now we are loyal customers and we have our favourite products. We live in Penarth and when we have a chance we are passing by to this amazing bakery. I must say staff is very friendly and provide a high standard quality service. Congratulations to the chef as well ! Totally recommend the bakery ! Thank you for making our life “sweeter”.

The best sourdough loaf I've ever bought. Better than any I've tried from any bakery in London and nowhere have I ever had such friendly service - lovely! I will always come here to pick up a loaf when I'm working in Cardiff and something for lunch too. Everything looks irresistible, but somehow I have managed to resist the buns and cakes - except the Welsh cakes, but who could! Diolch 🙇‍♀️

This is the bakery of all bakeries. Definitely the best in Cardiff, parking outside OK so drive out of town for a visit, get there early for best choice and join the queue. The bread is amazing, pies are delicious, pastries are ridiculous, cakes are all mine sorry. Staff really friendly, don't miss this place in Cardiff. Great for picnics.
