We were looking for a good spot to get a drink before the Wales football match against Finland in Cardiff and found the perfect spot in the Prince of Wales. The environment was buzzing with supporters kitted out in red, they had a good selection of drinks on tap and the architecture/layout of the pl
Overall we had a lovely lunch at Wetherspoons. I love that you can order to the table and pay via the app, which means avoiding standing in queues for ages! We were served quickly despite it being very busy and our food arrived in about 20 minutes after I placed the order. Our server was really kind
Enjoyed some nibbles and quite a few cocktails. Took a while to get food and longer fir the drinks but it was rammed and the food was good and the cocktails were lush. Definitely good value.
Great weatherspoons pub in the heart of Cardiff city center. Fantastic building that used to be a theater. Friendly staff and good service.
Drinks - great price in comparison to other prices. We tried food here for the first time and surprisingly was very good.
Tables could be cleared and cleaned more often, and wiped properly many were just sticky. 😫
In overall this is very nice pub, big lively nice architecture of old theatre. And gre
This my first time visiting the The Prince of Wales Wetherspoons. The pub is inside a beautiful grand old theatre from 1878.
The historic building has original stucco decorations and a dining are opposite the stage.
The location of the pub is ideal. Situated under 2min from the Railway station a
Visited on a Sunday lunch time. Firstly the building itself is stunning. Very large old theatre. The place was fairly quiet but was a sunny day. Easily found a table and ordered via the app. Food came out quickly as did the drinks. Did not visit the toilets. Ok as weatherspoons go. Place was tidy an
Massive restaurant/bar spread out over 2 floors located in a historic building that once was a theater. The theater boxes are still present and one view upstairs has you looking at what looks like theater seating although is just decoration. There is plenty of options on the menu and all well priced
Excellent food and service. It's always over crowded on weekends. You get money's worth here. Lot of beer and cocktail choices. Originally it was an opera Theatre. Now converted in to a pub. Neet and clean pub.
This is a grand and beautiful Wetherspoon. As majestic and royal as the name.
This is a great place to grab some food. The biggest issue is that it is very busy, so it is not quick. The service is good and the food was lovely. We had a lovely full English breakfast around 11 a.m., and it was pretty busy then, around 25 to 30 min wait. A great place to go for very reasonably p
Three of us had the small fish and chips. It came in a reasonable time and was hot and crisp, perfectly okay. One plate had a slice of lemon with the fish, but the other two did not. I asked if we could have two more slices for the other meals but they never came.
I was disappointed that they did n
