This is one of my favourite brunch n lunch venues. Yum yum me and Aunty Mo just had the new menu -smashed avocado on toasted sourdough with pistachio dukkha and poached egg. It was delicious, I'll be back next week with my 'bacon buttie' husband for him to try too! Thought the service was great, no quibbling when I asked for my cappuccino to be served hotter. Yes there's a new member of staff still learning the ropes but all experts were once beginners!

I was in this store last year while visiting family (I now live in California). The store is beautiful, the products are deliciously simple and contemporary styled but homely too. Just lovely. Gorgeous bit of ancient Cardiff just there to boot. Staff super-friendly. James G.

It's true, when you go to BODLON you become a HAPPY person. One day pass, I stopped at BODLON (translating from Welsh to English - HAPPY) for a simple coffee. At that moment I had no idea that it would be an explosion of happiness and I was amazed by the cheerful and good reception of the staff, by the gastronomic harmony of the culinary offer with modern and contemporary menus, natural, vegan, organic, gourmet and author. Yes author's menu, because I have had the pleasure of meeting the well-known famous award-winner with several Gold awards and, with acknowledgments of best Welsh chef, President of the Culinary Association of Wales and jury of important events like "Junior Chef of Wales"; “National Chef of Wales” and “ Welsh International Culinary Championships” ; the Chef "Colin Gray", The friendly welcome, attentive staff, with menu recommendations and suggestions, surprised my delicate taste, as well as the atmosphere that lets you rest in the delight of enjoying the authentic works of contemporary art that surround the space and transfer the desire to take them all to your own house, have made me not to spend even a week now without feeling the tremendous desire to visit BODLON, even if it's a long way off, but after the visit, I leave there always happier. As I think you too, should be lucky enough to be able to enjoy the pleasure of the best "Rolls-Royce" of the region's coffee shops, with an excellent value for Money, I invite you to pay a visit to BODLON and if you want to share your opinion live with me, then it appears there every Saturday morning during this summer season, because I no longer go without visiting; taste and feel all the weekly news of BODLON. If you want a happy week, I strongly recommend a visit to the BODLON. Space: Very clean, artistically decorated with recycled material and Contemporary items, that you can buy.. Staff: Excellent, cheerful, happy, friendly and professional. Price: Very good value for money Car park: Very close

Nice atmosphere, welsh speaking staff, selection of decorative local non-food stuffs for sale. Food fairly good, great coffee. Unfortunately we had to really emphasise a food allergy as initially the order arrived without the allergy related adjustment, but this was quickly rectified by polite, friendly staff.

Popped in for a light lunch. This place is extremely popular but we were lucky to get an outside table in the sun. Good healthy food menu and drinks (that do not include cola!!) Had a really lovely Welsh rarebit with salad. Lovely atmosphere with really friendly service.

Great cafe in an up to date Welsh style, says the resident American! Excellent coffee, cakes and hot food to satisfy a range of tastes. It is also a perfect place for finding well crafted gifts(consumable or not).

Well, popped in tea and for and some lunch. Tea was good, but you can't really mess that up. The mac and cheese was more just mac, it needs more sauce. Personally, I feel like it needs just a bit of wholegrain mustard to jazz it up. However, was served by a wonderful member of staff. I think his name was Morgan? Tallish, skinny with a healthy head of dark hair. Looks kinda like Nick Grimshaw? He was kind and patient with me as I dithered a little with my order.

Nice coffee, good food. We had the ham hock hash and the bodlon fishcake - both tasty, the hash particularly good value for money. We will be going back!

Lovely day time, coffee and panini Coffee was beautifully strong and the spicy sausage filling was amazing plenty of cheese too. Few people typing away on laptops, some others chatting in the background lovely atmosphere. Background music would have been nice, felt I was eavesdropping too much as I could plainly hear. Go there alone, plenty of table options in varying sizes. Spot in window great people watching spot too. Plenty to look at, admire and buy. 'amser paned' time for tea bunting is great. Will be back for an evening soon or the gin tasting.
