The Maltsters - Cardiff - Photo album

The food was very tasty and affordable. We had an amazing waitress, named Pip. She was very friendly and checked in appropriately. This is definitely a good place to get a nice evening meal!
Wonderful location in the Cardiff suburbs. Llandaff is reminiscent of a small English village with its collection of pubs, tea rooms and village green. Admittedly it is also home to an interesting (Anglican) cathedral. We came across Llandaff by accident three years ago and said if we ever needed an
Absolutely fantastic. Finally a decent pub with decent food!!!! We hadn't booked but they managed to fit us in and we happily shared a table with another pair who also were looking to eat. The pub was really busy not a spare table or seat in the building. Nevertheless the service was fantastic - q
I very much enjoyed our trip to the Maltsters. It wasn't too loud for a Friday night, despite having plenty of customers. It is clean and well-lit without being too bright. The staff are quite friendly. Our server Harry, in particular, was very friendly and helpful and didn't seem to be bothered by
We had such a great dining experience at The Maltsters Arms. I don’t normally post reviews but felt I had to share what a fantastic place this is! Chris and the team made me feel so welcome and created such a warm and happy atmosphere that it was a joy to be there. The food was excellent and the cab
Perfect! Everything about my stay has been amazing. Esme who checked me in made me feel really welcome. The room was wonderful (Llandaff Cathedral); loads of room, plenty of places to put things, loads of plugs, lovely big bathroom and super comfy bed. The room had been left toasty and warm when I a
Chris and his team have done absolute wonders with the place. Food spot on, great quality well put together, nice selection. Service friendly, fast efficient and knowledgeable. Now on our radar for a great drop in spot for food anytime. Well done all and keep it up!
Always a great welcome here. Food is excellent and the staff are brilliant. It was lovely that Christopher changed his day off, just to ensure that he can help us on a special occasion.
It was my first time to visit to your restaurant even though I have been staying in Cardiff for 11 years. My friend introduced me to have a tea break there. The ambience was cosy and comfort. Very nice staff and excellent food. I would definitely come again with more friend next time.
Dropped in for a lunch on Monday 19th. Enjoyed a lovely couple of pints of SA and a wonderful lunch. There was a slight issue with the temperature of lunch but the wonderful way they dealt with it was a joy! We will definitely be back soon to this great pub!!
We go to the maltsters regularly as a family because it is dog friendly, serves good food and has friendly staff. Also just been to our first quiz night tonight which was lots of fun and something a bit different on a Tuesday - Chris was a great and entertaining host, we will definitely be coming t
I've stayed at the hotel twice now when in Cardiff for the rugby. Rooms are very nice, the one on my 1st visit next to the laundry room less so as there was some noise, but nice to have good air con so I could keep the temperature at a what I like. Too many hotels are too stuffy. The breakfast here
food was absolutely lovely! my server, Rox was an absolute delight and so helpful towards me and my family. she made the experience ten times better.
What a great place to stay . Rooms excellent. Pillows bit hard.. but that's a personal thing. Restaurant good food. Great ambiance.. staff just go the mile . Thanks Ben Esme and Tom...you sorted my food allergy issues and didn't make me feel odd man out . We hope to return
What can I say was met by an amazing guy (sorry i forgot your name) im guessing he was the manager? who arranged a table at short notice. He is an absolute asset to the pub. Friendly funny and very attentive. The food was amazing, and nothing was too much trouble. we will definitely be back. The who
