Food tasty, better still service was impeccable!! Would definitely recommend for a tasty lunch out with friends and family.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. We checked the outside menu for vegan options and could only see 2, but it said to ask for the vegan menu, which we did, and there were so many options! We got the dough balls, garlic bread and a pizza (the Giardiniera with added Quorn chicken). It was all pretty good (not amazing, but good for a chain pizza shop).
The service was really great, she was very attentive and friendly and answered all our questions.
Would definitely go back to try some other things.
The food was amazing, offering the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. The staff were so friendly and happy to help, always ready to answer any questions. The atmosphere was really nice, although it was a bit hot inside, and the outdoor seating wasn’t available. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

We made a last minute decision to book an 11:45 lunch at Pizza Express Cardiff Bay (Mermaid Quay) for me, my husband and our 23m old. Upon arrival we were greeted promptly and seated. There were crayons and colouring menus provided for the little one. Baby changing facilities were available and there was the nice touch of a soft changing mat already on the changing table.
We had looked at the menu prior to attending and pretty much knew what we wanted to order (and were on a bit of a clock as little one needed her 1pm nap!)
We were pleasantly surprised at the availability of waiting staff and caterers, as our order was swiftly taken, and our food arrived promptly too, we managed a two course meal (mains & desserts/coffees), and the little one had a mini 3 course meal (which went down a treat)! All within an hour.
Wonderful quick service.
Ania our server was really warm, friendly and good with our little one too and considerate with where she put hot plates, as little one was grabbing everything in reach!
Delicious food, efficient and considerate service. Highly recommend, and special thanks to everyone who tended to us/cooked for us today!
When it came to our bill, we had a QR code for a Tesco Clubcard voucher that I had converted for Pizza Express which Ania swiftly scanned prior to bringing us our bill - everything went so smoothly!

Unfortunately in the day we went they had actually changed the menu that morning so what we had originally wanted was no longer available. My friend who is a vegan had very limited choices which was disappointing . I had a pasta dish which was ok but some of the pasta was crunchy
My partner and I have been there 3 times now, and our waitress Anya has been nothing short of wonderful. She's a lovely, charismatic individual and despite being really busy (the place was rammed even though it was a Monday) she was attentive and a real joy to have as our waitress. Not only that but as it was my birthday she brought out a dessert for me and the staff sung happy birthday. Nobody asked her to, and she only knew because I had a gift voucher from my brother that same day. Really went the extra mile and we can't wait to go back :) we'd never go to anywhere else now. Plus the food was lovely!

It was my first time at Pizza express. Our waitress Hannah was really sweet and attentive and took her time to explain us how to use the app and rewards and helped us understand the menu better. Definitely one of the best dining experiences. Very quick service and great ambiance.
When we arrived we were greeted by the manager who was quite abrupt with us and overall miserable. She told us we weren’t allowed to sit outside despite the almost empty restaurant because only one member of staff was allocated to the outside area. (About 4 tables in the whole restaurant - inside and out - were occupied. About 6 members of staff were in the restaurant)
We sat inside despite this and were served by two waitresses who were extremely kind. Unfortunately we didn’t get their names but they really made our experience 10x better despite the bad start.
Me and my partner came by to enjoy the food and atmosphere and was instantly greeted with really kind and great service, we made sure to ask for her name Hannah who always made sure we were attended and overall enhanced the dining experience.
Anh was amazing. Best service I have seen in a long time and she made our date night very special.
Very noisy on a Saturday afternoon as it was Mother’s Day weekend and Wales playing at home against France. Despite that - nice pizzas. Dough balls were good. Coke comes in glass bottles so my wife very happy. Service was great. Pizzas are expensive but we used Tesco Clubcard vouchers. That saved the day. We had the burnt ends one. It was lovely.
Really good food! Hadn't booked a table but they managed to accommodate us.
We arrived at midday 25 January. The manager met us at the entrance and showed us to a window seat as we requested. Our waitress — Ánh — promptly came to take our orders and recognised us at once from previous visits. It turned out that she was the ONLY waitress on duty, and had to deal with preparing desserts as well as table service: so she was busy throughout our stay, but was still unfailingly cheerful and helpful. We had to wait while other guests were seen too, but as we were not in a hurry that was no problem.
Lovely views over the bay. Food was delicious and came out hot and fresh. I don’t usually leave reviews for places but our waitress, Ańh went above and beyond. She was super friendly and helpful. was a ray of sunshine!

We know Pizza Express well, but lunch here at Cardiff Bay was the icing on the cake. As well as the usual quality, the friendly service from Anh, Jakub and team was amazing. Anh went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect, really engaging proactively with everyone. Look forward to returning soon.
