This is a popular biker pub right in the heart of Whitchurch Village, a suburb of Cardiff. It's usually very busy with locals and bikers alike, and sometimes it can be hard to find a seat, especially in the summer. It's popular for several reasons: firstly, its central village location makes it busy; secondly, it has a great atmosphere with a good mixed crowd of people; and thirdly, the food is pretty good - both for lighter snacks and full meals. It's large, with several bars plus patio gardens at the front and the rear, and the bar serves Brains beers and guest ales.

Excellent pub in the centre of Whitchurch Village. have been on a number of nights out either as a starting point before moving on elsewhere or to stay in for the duration of the evening. Food is excellent. Have been here for a number of lunches, both full meals and light lunch. Drinks are reasonably priced and staff are friendly.

This pub has been recently refurbished to a very high standard, it definitely needed it, but now its a pleasure to go there, the clientele has moved a bit upmarket and the food is very good, although a change of menu every so often would be better. The Landlady and her husband are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. We went there one night and were too late to order a meal and the Landlady brought us a huge plate of Chicken Pate and bread which was georgous and didn't charge us, needless to say, ever since then we have been going there regularly. The staff are extremely attractive and very friendly as well. Whitchurch Village needed an upmarket Pub and now they certainly have one.

Came across this restaurant while walking through the area and decided to stop in. Service was great, Eva was attentive and friendly and helpful. Good prices on wine and we ordered a potato, leek and cheese pie and it was absolutely delicious. Wish we had more time in Cardiff to come back and try other dishes.

Hi, Food was excellent. Best Christmas meal of any year and will be back to try a steak in new year. The disappointment was the fact that required all the meal selections ahead of the day. It was 9 person and a baby. The orders come out in a timely manor. Then the same with the mains, but where are the extra cheese roast potatoes that we ordered. Oh after we started our mains they were Will to get them but it would take a further 4 minutes. I explained by that time we would be half through the mains and to cancel that request. My daughter ordered the sea bass if you go and order this I recommend you don’t it’s the smallest piece of fish you would ever sea. My gold fish is larger and for the expense should be a reasonable size or take off menu and provide salmon. My question is if this is all ordered prior to arrival. Why are there parts of the order missing. Computers.? Staff were excellent though I must say.

Had been working all day and didn’t manage to get here til 6.15pm. Rang in advance and they confirmed they were still doing Sunday Roast. Only Turkey and Pork left due to late in day but the Turkey was delicious. Came with a great selection of vegetables: roast spuds, parsnip, peas, red cabbage, mangetout. Other Trimmings: Stuffing and Yorkshire, cranberry sauce. I ordered cauliflower cheese as well. Had the Banoffee ice cream cake with caramel sauce for desert. Excellent. Service was excellent too. Best eating out experience I’ve had in a while. Top marks.

Despite visiting a busy Friday the staff were attentive and polite, service was quick and efficient. The chef even brought out the food herself, Cheryl was so kind and the food she made was delicious. One of the best plant based burgers I’ve had! The plough is a lovely place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

For desert we had the brownie Sunday and chocolate brownie. Highly recommend it. Can’t wait to go back!

The food is excellent, a very good standard. The staff are friendly. We've been a few times and sat at different tables, they all feel a bit sticky, seems like the varnish has perished!!

Lovely meal this evening, few drinks and impromptu dinner sat outside the back courtyard in the sun. Eva our waitress was so lovely and took good care of a nut allergy with our table. Chicken and chorizo kebabs were tasty, very filling!

Staff as attentive as possible but had to work really hard to achieve this as they were understaffed. Food was delicious despite there being two fryers down in the kitchen resulting in a reduced menu there was plenty of choice and all 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Will certainly be returning and would recommend to friends and family
