I've been here three times already, thanks to the generosity of the company offering free meals during their preopening event this weekend. I may have taken advantage of this offer, seeing as this is my local pub/restaurant I did want to try out a variety of what they have on offer, and they did not disappoint! I would have happily paid full price for the meals I received as they were generous in portion, delicious and the service was quick. The little beer samples were helpful as they have a huge selection to choose from, I also tried the beer flights where you can choose a selection of three 1/3 pints, delicious!! The staff were spot on, very helpful and kind, couldn't do enough for us � The whole place has been revamped and is looking better than ever, very chilled environment and lovely decor. I can't wait to spend my summer evening in the beer garden which has also had a massive make over and is looking like the perfect place to relax with a nice cold beer! The Welsh has been maintained and as a Welsh person this means a lot, and I appreciate all the hard work that has gone into maintaining this special touch � I will be returning and thank you again for the lovely food and drinks.
Amazing place with an incredible food menu. The beer selection is unparalleled. Great to find a place that served genuinely good vegetarian options rather than just the standard "stuffed peppers" or "salad". Would highly recommend this place for a chilled evening, nice meal out or a casual beer (for those who like to try different beers and ales often). Great staff, lovely atmosphere and a brilliant location.
Food is awesome, place looks great and the staff are on point.
Was driving so couldn’t sample any of the drinks however their delivery driver blocked the car park for long enough that I could of sank a few drinks and been legal to drive by the time he was finished
Party of 6 of us ate at Brewhouse kitchen on Sunday 11th February 2018. The food and service were excellent. A varied and delicious menu on offer and very reasonable priced however we had Sunday lunch which was tasty and served piping hot- just the way we like it.. Really pretty and relaxing gardens to the rear, to enjoy a drink, or dine al fresco. All 6 of us were very impressed and all said we will definitely be making a return visit. Thank you Matt and to the chef and staff for a most enjoyable afternoon. I would definitely recommend.*****
I would recommend the mac & cheese starter, the tofu starter, & the vegan burger with cheddar cheese! 😍 Friendly, chatty staff. Great atmosphere. Thank you for the free food!!
Definitely worth a visit, choice of beers, service, Decor, location great and food really good value for portion sizes, had the canned chicken sharer and we also had the sharer with a rack of ribs, ashamed to say we couldn't eat it all (did have starters) which s a first for my son n law! Couldn't resist having desserts though
Just got back from a visit to brewhouse & kitchen and had a fab time. Really lovely food & drinks. The staff are amazing, especially khalid!! Khalid was really knowledgable of the menu and friendly throughout! He was super attentive and made our experience even better!!! Amazing ����

Knowledgeable staff who provided advice on selection of real ales before enjoying our food which was provided by a very good service. It was very busy when we were there on A Saturday evening but the food still arrived quickly and hot. Fire pit in outdoor area, beach huts to hire will visit again to give them a try.
Great atmosphere highly trained and friendly staff . Management went out of their way to make us welcome. Our table served was a little star. Excellent variety of food available to suit all tastes and portions ample. They also have a children’s menu. The selection of wines, beers, larger, ciders awesome with some great names. Different zoned seating suitable for large or small groups. The venue will be even better than now in the summer months when you can sit outside under all the tree lighting. Definitely go back good to have somewhere different to go.
Thankyou for a great night out guys Starting with Ryan and his friendly warm greeting ,really looking after us explaing how the menu and brews worked.The starters,main courses and desserts were delicious ,I loved the pie and mash .James introduced us to the beers ,his knowledge was incredible, so interesting .Will definatly be booking again for another family night out ,So much nicer than the last place that was there.

Rick and his team looked after us for our Christmas party and the service was impeccable. We were given heaters, blankets and hot water bottles for the pretty outside area we’d reserved. Despite the raging weather outside we were warm, safe and had a wonderful time. Thanks Rick and team. We had the best evening!
Stopped off for a pit stop. Haven't been here for years. I think it used to be called something else. My brother treated me to a meal, and my 10oz steak was beautifully succulent, tender, and moist.
I highly recommend this establishment for good food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating.
We both had fantastic meals, I had burger and the Mrs had Fish and chips, (and onion rings), staff were friendly atmosphere was relaxed, short walk from the campsite where we were staying, will definitely return on our next visit.

It has a fantastic location inside of Sophia gardens, surrounded by lovely walks and sports facilities, and also has plenty of parking.
The pub has plenty of outdoor seating both covered and uncovered, as well as a lovely conservatory alongside the original pub.
Beers brewed in-house, interesting deco, easy to order via the app.
This was our first visit to Cardiff and the Brewhouse. Our waitress was helpful and patient. Our beers and spirits were great. Our dishes (we ordered 7) were all delicious.
We came there for lunch. Beautiful environment. About food, we ordered 3 small plates and 1/4 chicken set plus drinks. They were all delicious. Couldn’t ask for more! Highly recommend.
The staff were very good as I booked initially for 7pm and they kept the table for us until for when we eventually arrived: 8pm! The home brewed beer was very nice and good to see that you do that. The staff were attentiveand when a mistake was made were quick to amend.
We had our company Christmas Do here this past weekend. The staff were really helpful and welcoming, with great communication to ensure we had a great time. There were 41 in our party and they gave us our own private space which was fantastic. The food was excellent and the service was efficient. Everyone I have spoken with from the event has shared in this feeling and would gladly visit again next year. Thank you :)
Beer good as usual. I understand that it is the place nearest the coach station and travelers maybe aren't welcome. But please don't have the doorman asking what is inside the suitcase as that could be rude.I took it as humorous moment but in future please just to yes or no. :)
Had an Xmas 3 course meal on 2nd Dec for a party of 2. Overall it was a very lovely evening. Great atmosphere and service, but the main course wasn't served very hot, and was lacking taste/quality which I have no doubt if I would have asked, the staff would have remedied. But this is why I rated food down. The outdoor seating with the fires and heaters were perfect, there was offers of hot water bottles and blankets also!...this made up for the main course not quite being up to expectations. I already plan to go back!
Great food and lovely brewery. Excellent selection of beers and ciders. I particularly appreciated the nonalcoholic (0.5%) beers on tap. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, with lots of sitting space.
There are a lot of positives for the Brewhouse and Kitchen. It has a fantastic location in Sophia Gardens, surrounded by lovely walks and sports facilities and has good parking. The pub has plenty of outdoor seating, covered and uncovered, as well as a lovely conservatory alongside the original pub. The beers brewed in-house are great, we tried the pilsner and lager. The food was a bit of a mixed bag, good Sunday dinner but a disappointing burger and extremely watery cauliflower cheese. Staff were excellent, interesting deco, and app ordering nice and easy. Look forward to returning.
Had sunday lunch yesterday. Food was good. Prawn starter. Enjoyed but seemed a bit overpriced for £7 for 4 prawns.
Enjoyed the main and good to see a excellent variety of vegetables.
Only disappointment with the service was I went and asked one of the servers for a pint to our table. She directed me to the bar even though I was clearly eating in restaurant. This pint was added to my bill as requested but then I go and have a service charge for a pint I had to wait at the bar and fetch myself. Also had to ask for the bill repeatedly.
Apart from that all good and would return in future.
Very nice place in quite neighborhood. lovely decor. Great food and selection of beers. Realy nice Staff, could not ask for more. We recommend burger and dirty fries
