Gorgeous Sunday lunch, fab service. Will definitely be back! Thank you 😊
Dropped in for a quick half after a long walk, very warm welcome from the landlord. Lots of people having food which looked good, staff were very attentive.
Quite busy on a weekday evening which is a good sign. Restaurant was full so I ate in the bar. Menu wasn't huge , but full of Welsh classics. The pate was nice and smooth and a large portion. The hunters chicken I chose because of the accompanying sweet potato fries. It was all well cooked and tasty
Sunday lunch was lovely! Staff were great! They even had Gluten free cheesecake ( everywhere else I've been just have chocolate brownies or sorbet)
Excellent fish dishes, my Mother had the sea bass and I had the fish platter. Both beautifully cooked. My husband had the venison and loved it. The house white wine was very good. We will definitely be going back
Had an excellent family meal here last night. Food really good, service excellent. All staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. Would definitely recommend
As a pub restaurant I was impressed by the range of on menu and various specials available. And service was decent and attentive sat in rear restaurant area. I made a mistake in not going for Venison steak special and other's starters were all impressive and good portion sizes. Of the deserts the ch
We had dinner on a Friday evening. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. In our opinion, this restaurant/pub is a true hidden gem. It has the seal of approval from our 10 year old son, which is probably the equivalent of an Olympic gold medal or a Nobel prize 😉 In addition to th
One of cardiffs nicest pubs. It feels like a ‘proper’ pub and not just another one in a chain. The staff are amazing and the restaurant is great value for money. I just wish it was my local.
The food was absolutely stunning! Sunday dinner cooked to perfection and the mixed fish platter was beautifully cooked too! Apple and winter Berry pie was 🥰
Came for Mother’s Day and the food and service was brilliant. The chicken was very nice and the lamb was also lovely. I would highly recommend.
Great to have live music, the venue is vibrant and full of live music revelers. Band fugitives were excellent. They played two sets music for all eras, well done to staff and management for a well run establishment.
Booking is recommended, although the team did great to fit us in. The food was exemplary, two of us had deep fried cod, chips and garden peas, and one chose the vegetarian chicken (plant protein) and noodles. The dessert choices were great, the lemon meringue roulade was delicious. Fairly busy, and
I went on my birthday which was on New year's eve. Staff very cheerful and food delicious.
Had a really good meal, food great, staff excellent. Atmosphere was warm and inviting.
A quiet Thursday night. Piping hot food. Maybe on the pricey side for a pub but very good choice.
