Just ordered this evening was a little bit expensive but definitely one of the nicer takeaway meals we've had. Chicken wings were the best we've had from a takeaway and loved the lamb burgers (although spicy). We'll definitely come back and would recommend.

I have an unhealthy relationship with chicken. From birth, it was it was my favourite meat. It's versatile. You can roast it, fry it, bake it, grill it, whatever you like. It can be put in a curry, or served alongside veg, sliced into a shwarma or pulled into a wrap. I've travelled thousands of miles in search of the best chicken, trying it in all its forms. London, Istanbul, even pre-war Damascus. Sometimes life throws you a suprise however. For me, it was a visit to a small takeaway in Cardiff. I had heard about Piri Pronto through a few friends, and on a sunny Tuesday evening I thought I would treat myself and my wife to some takeaway chicken. It was leg day in the gym, so I could justify the indulgence I thought. I ordered the Family Platter to go. A whole chicken, several wings, chips and a rice, all at a very reasonable £16 or so. It was clear to me that the owners loved chicken too. They perhaps recognised in me a kindred spirit, as they gave me the full tour. The steamer at the back, which slowly prepped the chicken for grilling. The charocoal grill at the front which roasted it before serving. The peri peri sauce they used, which I was told they had spent years perfecting. This was a place that took its food seriously. Some treat cooking as an unwanted necessitiy, not these guys, they knew it was an art form. They were true to their name, and in about ten minutes I was driving back home with my food. I made a mental note of their speed. Healthy fast food is usually an oxymoron, but grilled chicken in less than 20 minutes is just that. All of this made me excited for my food, and I took it home eagerly. I was expecting good chicken. Yet this wasn't good chicken, it was so much more. It was one of those experiences in which time slows down, your heart races, your senses somehow become heightened. The thirty minutes I spent eating my Piri Pronto meal made me feel alive in a way few other experiences compare. My chicken was perfect. The skin was infused with flavour, grilled crispy, but not so much it was burned. Just right! The meat was juicy and tender, no doubt a product of slow cooking in the steamer. The wings. Oh man, the wings. The meat just fell of the bone, succulent pieces of rich chicken. I think next time I visit I might just order a dozen or so for myself. Absolutely the best chicken wings I've ever had. Everything was the perfect size. Some chickens you get elsewhere are too big, the type that you know were given some unhealthy steroids that made them the Mountain That Rides of the poultry world. Piri Pronto chickens were about the size I imagine chickens to be. Good amounts of meat, but within chicken proportions. Checking the menu afterwards, I was informed they were British reared and had "Red Tractor" status. A bit of googling revealed that this was an important industry standard. Despite my meat eating habits, I do care about animal welfare, so this made me happy. Alongside my chicken I had chips and rice which came with the combo. The chips were flavourful, crispy and fresh. The rice was aromatic, soft and well cooked. Great accompaniments to great chicken. All in all, I can't recommend this place enough. Maybe you think I'm exagerrating, or that I simply am easily pleased. If so, go and try it and see for yourself.

I tryed the king prawns chicken sqewers and chicken chunks and rice superb nothing was left and left feeling pleasantly full NOT bloated or sluggish can't wait for next time ♡

Got one of the grilled platters, delicious food! The whole family enjoyed it. Excellent service and reasonably priced. Will be coming back for more soon :)

Ordered a chicken breast burger, bursting with filling, plenty of chicken, no skimping on fries either. Was exactly what I craved. Arrived on time, food well packed to stay warm. Food delivered adhering to covid rules.
