We went at a quiet time to be fair but it was good service, good food and reasonable prices and luckily they had dairy free alternatives for the milkshakes

It was my first time dining at Ed's Diner, and I am confident I will be back because of the excellent food and service! One of the waiters, Ross, was extremely helpful.

The lady was so nice and the food was quite good. Unpopular opinion: the portions are actually quite small so i had to order a second dish. The milkshakes are very thick and good value for money because they are so thick. I would suggest they have more deals on different days because it is very empty sometimes. Good experience overall.

Great food Grandson loved his huge milkshake!! They even topped a mini one with cream and cookies for our younger grandaughter. Young guy who served us was really helpful and pleasant . Food arrived quickly and was delicious. Enjoyed by all

I had a Mud Pie shake which was absolutely glorious! I regret choosing as it was a bit much for me but that doesn't take from its delightfulness. I had the Texan burger, which was beautiful. The sauce was intense, the gherkins were flavourful and I'm not really fond of Gherkins. My only criticism would be that the patties were a bit overdone to my liking (though still flavourful). The Mac and Cheese was nice but my Onion Rings were closer to an onion ball, also overdone though still very nice. Our server (I can't remember her name) was very pleasant, smiley and cheerful. Very welcoming and helpful. Quite expensive place to eat but that doesn't mean I wouldn't go back, I loved it. Just means I won't be back as often. That's the cost of living for you, though.

Stopped in for some lunch on our day out in Cardiff City centre. Food was lovely as was the atmosphere and the member of staff who served us particularly was very friendly, even wished us a happy anniversary! Would recommend 😁

Every time we go here as a family it is always a pleasant experience. The staff are always really pleasant and welcoming and the food is always spot on. We went today, the first time after COVID and again our waiter was super friendly and very accommodating. Great food, great customer service 👌🏻

I'm quite a fan of Ed's Diner! The food here was of good quality and I was a big fan of the vibe and atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and helpful here, willing to answer any questions, especially surrounding those like vegetarian options.

We come to Ed’s Diner for Lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Tosin was our waitress and greeted us at the front door and showed us to our seats, she was very welcoming and polite. The restaurant was relatively empty, but the atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant to be within. Our food was delivered by Tosin in a timely manner, was piping hot and delicious too. Would definitely recommend anyone in the area to visit Ed’s if they’re looking for a delicious lunch and pleasant experience. Big thanks to Tosin our waitress and the kitchen staff too!

Ours was an experience of almost two different Ed's Diners. We ate breakfast twice, the Wednesday and the Friday. The Wednesday team were amazing, helping store our suitcases out of the way as we had just arrived in Cardiff, helpful with allergy information and were overall friendly and welcoming. Especially the lovely waitress named Lucy. The food that day was pristine. The Friday team not so much. It felt like our family had interrupted their hang out session. Upon hearing the allergies rather than work with us they completely removed the option of milkshakes from our table. One of our plates had a hair in it, admittedly one not the fault of any of the staff as they weren't matching but the plate also came with mushrooms we had asked to be removed. The man running the shift offered a new plate, but quickly returned with the same food obviously scraped onto a fresh plate as the eggs still has mushrooms stuck to them. The server also made our daughter's "make your own pancakes" herself before bringing it late to the table, ruining it slightly for her. Overall a great place to relax and eat let down by one shift of staff.

We were seated really quickly and it was quite busy so I was pleasantly surprised. Niyah served us and she had really good energy and was so lovely. She also asked us if we wanted some water which I never think of but it's so good to have on the table. Staff really make a big difference and she was great

Good hearty breakfast (I'm sure the other food is good too) at a reasonable price and with friendly service. NHS discount available. Have always liked the American Diner vibe.

Great 50's style American diner. Its situated in St Davids 2 food Hall area on the ground floor. We both had burgers which were well cooked and presented. Service was good and staff were friendly.
