Had Sunday lunch yesterday, food was amazing and service was speedy and friendly. Prob the best roast around. The kids meals were incredible also, fresh food and large portion sizes! It's very child friendly and was easy to park up my pram.
Top place for a casual drink, great range of cocktails and the food great. A must go to if in Cathays area.
We were visiting Cardiff over this weekend and found this lovely pub .staff so friendly. We took our 4 year old grandson in to .we has cocktails and gin and hubby had real ale. Prices were very reasonable too

Lovely Sunday roast and gorgeous dessert. Very informal setting, children are welcomed and catered for admirably! Staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Will definitely visit again, would love to catch one of their weekday offers!

Went to the Flora for the first time with my housemate for lunch and a few drinks yesterday, amazing value for food and drinks (just wish there are more cocktails that don't have gin in �) Went home for a few hours then chose to come back to the Flora at 8pm rather than go into town! Staff are all lovely and sociable, super quick service and all go above and beyond - my friend spilled her drink over the table we were sat at due to her own fault, but staff still replaced it free of charge and mopped up the mess without causing any embarrassment for us. FINALLY, I love the music playlist and the DJ in the evening, sets a really chilled vibe, which I learnt makes the drinks flow that little bit quicker � can't wait to come back and enjoy more of the food and drink menu!

It's definitely a student bar, but we were visiting my daughter who is a student. Not a bad size inside, but the outdoor space is limited. The bar staff are nice when you get chatting to them, but they all look pretty weary otherwise. I guess that's because of the crowd, but more smiles would be lovely.
One tip for all bar staff - when I used to do the same job in my youth (at a very busy bar), I would absolutely know the order in which people had arrived. I didn't need to ask the punters "who's next?"
Tension builds when you're stuck at one end of a bar and others find some fast track approach to diving in and receiving service before you do. It's a simple thing to master, but really helps with crowd management.
Enjoyed a fantastic night here recently. Really great music, super energy and great overall vibe. Food selection was unexpected but exceptional and great value for money. Range of beers was excellent and the staff were amazing —friendly, efficient and great craic.
Pub decor is modern eclectic, with plenty of seating and clean heated bathrooms. Highly recommend it!
Well last Sunday was one of the loveliest I can remember for a long time. A Sunday lunch at the flora was a delight from start to finish. Our serve, Claudia, was charming, helpful, and couldn’t do enough to help us. Bar staff were lovely, Jack included. Will definitely be back soon. Claudia and Jack long overdue a raise!!
Chicken tenders were juicy & perfectly cooked. The Japanese fries are so addictive. I had the burger again to see if it was as good as before.and it was.
the addition of kimchi is a great idea. This is street food at it's very best.
A regular visitor at Flora. Flora is a pub in cathays not very far from the Cardiff city which has a large seating area - indoors as well as outdoors in the garden. There’s a tent as well in the garden which can be booked for parties with large groups.
Every Tuesday nights, they host fun pub quizzes. This used to be conducted by the team YES QUIZZES. Apart from this, they also host music bands and other events. It’s a good place for hosting events, although it’s not the cheapest and the most accessible option around.
The staff is super friendly too. The biggest downside is that They serve food only on Sundays.

First time at the pub but I can say it’s the best prices in cardiff for a beer. Good music and overall vibe of the pub. Outside area is nice, lots of tables and a pool table. Also very clean would recommend.
Good food, well - made.
The burger was a bit too salty, which hid the lovely flavours. Might be worth toning down the sodium a bit. I will return.
Had a cracking roast here today. Beef was cooked to perfection. The chef knows what’s up. Excellent service too. Can’t wait to come back.

So tasty best Sunday lunch I've ever had for a long time. Rachael booked the table for six of us today everyone of us said the same. Sticky toffee pudding was so nice. A big thank you to the chef.
It's pretty cheap in a good way. Very popular with students as you would expect here. Not as many ciders as they used to have 'back in the day' ;)
Service was excellent, food was amazing. We had dog with us and she was made welcome. Fantastic overall experience.
Been visiting the Flora for 25 years and it's changed a hell of a lot over that time.
Love the outdoor area, inside is nice with comfortable seating and clean toilets.
Decent choice of beers, nothing amazing but the Guinness is great and Neck Oil is decent for an IPA, they also had a good selection of Ciders.
The food at the moment is superb, clearly a very good chef.
We loved the special 'chicken, sage and Truffle Croquetas with gravy mayo', chicken tenders with Miso mayo and spiced honey were also great. Really enjoyed the masala potato with cheese flatbread. Lamb Burger was great,
Japanese 'dirty' fries were fine (for £6 probably the only dish I wouldn't order again)
Can't wait to return to try a few more dishes, some of the best pub grub in Cardiff.

Had such an amazing experience, the drinks the banter with staff. The whole vibe of The Flora bar was incredible, this bar made my trip to Cardiff 10/10. Highly recommended the Guinness is to die for 😍

Drawn in by the new food offering, we had a lovely visit. We were looked after very well and the food was excellent.
Limited range of beers but at least they serve Guinness! The bar has a fresh modern feel and the staff are bubbly and helpful. It is situated in the heart of a stadent accommodation area so generally the customers are younger so has anlively atmosphere.
Food was really good, great selection of beers and friendly and helpful staff! Looking forward to going back!
