Always love the food and atmosphere here. Any family events the kids always pick to come here. Food is cheap but always delicious. Toilets aren't great, could do with a deep clean and a revamp. 12 of us had a mains with pint of pop and a dessert each today came to about £150. As you can see in the pics plates are massive, full & delicious def recommend to anyone who asks for somewhere.
A large group of us booked for lunch ahead of a trip away, Sian our waitress was great, friendly, chatted with us as did management, sorry can’t remember their names, food arrived quickly, hot and really nice, nice atmosphere. plenty of parking
We came here the night before our wedding, there was 54 of us. We had originally booked the Fynnon wen down the road, but with a weeks notice they told us they had to cancel. We called the Hungry Horse 3 Elms and they were thrilled to have us, it was the best food, service and atmosphere we could ask for. They were all amazing and sorted everything so quickly. Would recommend them to anyone!
Had a lovely roast dinner. It was very tasty. Only thing I would sat, they only gave us one gravy boat between the two of us. A drop more would have made all the difference. I'm sure if we had asked, we could have had more. If they had just put gravy over the meat, then the boat would probably have been enough. Excellent value....2 roast dinners for £15.49 and there seemed to be a lit of drink offers, plus food offers on different days of the week. If you're going on a Sunday, it would probably pay to book a table. Staff seemed lovely. Plenty of parking. We'll be back .
The staff really are The Three Elms best asset. You could see they were rushed off their feet yet they keep smiling and can’t do enough for you.
The food was very nice and great portion sizes. The only thing that lets you down is the cleanliness. The table was sticky and covered in salt and the menus had something smeared over them. Other than that it was an enjoyable few hours out.
Having read a few negative reviews I phoned to check that a full menu was available and was assured that it was. Eight of us arrived for lunch and ordered eight different meals. All the food was served twenty minutes later and we were all impressed. The meals were hot, very tasty and nicely presented. The waitresses were very attentive and we were asked several times if everything was satisfactory. Highly recommended.
We had food here and it was amazing. The service and atmosphere was brilliant. We were served by a great guy call Dan he looked after us and made us laugh. We got talking to him and turns out he is from the same area as we are as we were away for the weekend definitely would recommend and be back
We've just had a fantastic experience at Three Elms.
Our server Dan was fantastic with the kids and definitely went above and beyond. We also had another server who was great but sadly missed his name.
As a bonus the food and desert were delicious.

I had the new yorker and my husband had the all day breakfast from the £11.99 menu the service was fast the staff were lovely its great value for money I had 3 bits of chicken on my plate and we both enjoyed the time we spent there.

Love stopping in Three Elms whenever I pass through Cardiff, a lovely local pub with stellar food & drink, beers on tap. Have to shout out one staff member in particular James, an absolute sweetheart, took great care of us. If you have the pleasure to meet him when at the Three Elms you're in great hands xx
Great restaurant / public house. Clean and well laid out. Food was very good and served quickly. Limited parking, so best arrive by foot to avoid disappointment. I highly recommend this place and will certainly visit again. We'll do to the staff.
Was here for Wales v Scotland. Although it wasn't the result we wanted it still turned out to be a fab night. It was great to have a BAND back. Well done Jade Osborne you did a good job. Hopefully the good times are coming back. Keep up the good work. We were here on Saturday 3rd February 2024.
Christmas dinner 2023, service was amazing, food was amazing (large portions) we always struggle to entertain our 3 young children for the duration of a meal but the staff at the 3 elms had thought of everything, tv, colouring, crackers with little toys, it was so relaxed and comfortable!! We had the best Christmas dinner in many many years and really enjoyed ourselves.
I wouldn’t have changed a thing and would recommend to everyone!!

The food is lovely you get alot for your money thats for sure unlike other places.
One staff member in particular who waited on us her name is sian, well what a lovely lady she is so caring and kind very happy to help she loves her job and loves people it's nice to see staff who actually enjoy there work because you don't always see that in public houses.

came here on saturday with my partner, had a wonderful time, all the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. my chicken new yorker and my partner’s steak were amazing.
