Great place, lovely atmosphere. Stopped for coffee and lunch and was not disappointed. Ordered the Avo Breakfast toast with salmon and it was delicious. Ample portions, beautifully presented and the coffee was great too!
such a cute place to hang out, study or just sit for a coffee. i love the vibes, the staff are so nice and the place is well decorated with loads of spaces to sit. coffee is made in house and is delicious. i love all the information available to the customer about their coffeez they're clearly proud of it and for good reason. will definitely come back.
A lovely unique rustic cosy place for a coffee and food in the city centre. Plenty of seating, toilets available and a good selection of coffee, sweet and savoury food. Staff were friendly enough, however my coffee was luke warm so I asked if they could warm it up but they made me a fresh one which was lovely. There is a laptop policy where you can stay for 1 hour or longer if you continue to purchase, as they are a small business they do get very busy and I guess the space would be needed for those paying customers. Would definitely visit again.
A lovely experience. A delightful find in Cardiff and to me, far better than most of the big chain cafes.
The atmosphere was really welcoming and the staff were friendly (26/5/23).
I cannot say enough about the decor and the reuse of old kettles as lamp shades. There was comfy seating for patrons who wanted to take a load off their feet, as well as work space made for digital nomads of which they were a few.
I enjoyed the coffee and croissant whilst journaling and taking things easy.
May well go back for pancakes and brush before I leave in a couple days.

Amazing coffee, uncommon place, beautiful spaces to linger the whole day. Staff is super friendly and have really good suggestions (like how to eat the cinnamon roll dipping into a cappuccino!!!). I’ll definitely visit again next time in Cardiff.
One of the best coffee in Cardiff. It had a great taste to it and they have options for Vegans too. The ambience of the cafe was pretty good and so was the service. Highly recommend Uncommon Ground Coffee Roastery for anyone visiting Cardiff Central ⭐️
This independent coffee shop was delightful. The flat white incredibly smooth with a thick espresso crema and a rich aftertaste -
nicely balanced with the foamed milk.
I had this accompanied with a sticky bun which had a cinnamon and mild orange infusion-like taste. The decor is unique, with a vintage theme and clean cut design.
Had coffee there one day and breakfast the next. The coffee is good, one of the better, if not the best I had in Cardiff. Breakfast was a bit small but good quality. The service good and staff happy to engage.
Great place and location. it is a common ground for people to meet usually crowded but most of them working on their laptops. Flight white has inconsistent quality of foaming and extra hot and a bit watery. The taste was good sometimes, mostly chocolate and caramel but one time I had an apple like acidity which was not expected.the brownies and chocolate muffin are delicious. The loyalty card is an added value as well

Been in twice in the last two days and had a really good experience.
Had a coldbrew (not as strong a flavour as I tend to like, but refreshing) and some truly excellent hot coffees. Cinnamon bun was really delicious, and the food was high-quality and a nice change from the most typical coffee shop menu.
The space is large and kept pretty dark, which makes it easy to lose track of time (I came at relatively quiet times so I could sit there with my breakfast and a book without being in anyone's way.
Staff was really friendly & helpful, and again - very good coffee. Seems like everyone involved is invested in the quality and standards of what they're selling.
Overall really liked the place, and will definitely come back next time I'm in Cardiff.
Good quality coffee, expertly made, with some delicious food options too. If you want to read (be that work, or leisure) then you might like to take a seat in the (covered) arcades or in a window, as it can be a little dark inside. I will always have a soft spot for Uncommon Grounds, as they were the first stop for a very tired me when first visiting Cardiff, and they were very welcoming! Do note that they politely ask you not to be a "laptop squatter", as too many folks have abused this cafe for this in the past. They have (rightly) implemented a flexible 1 hour rule - longer if you are considerate and top up your drink and/or get some food.

Very cool place to have your coffee! The staff clearly know what they're doing and they make incredible coffees! Great atmosphere and not long wait for coffee. Food was lovely and a good selection to have with the coffee. Will definitely go back!
The best coffee in Cardiff!! Their coffee roast is absolutely amazing, round and flavorful. Cakes are also amazing. If you're in town, check it out.
Delicious coffee in a lovely environment. Friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly venue. Food looked nice, but I didn't eat, so can't confirm. Price is reasonable. Only one toilet, which is downstairs with no lift.
Wonderful coffee shop. Incredible coffee - easily the best in Cardiff! Small but perfectly formed food menu. Plenty of delicious cakes to choose from. Comfy sofas, tables, work spaces, bar stools - take your pick. You can't go wrong here.
