Owner is really funny and warm welcoming We sat with our dog and they provided plasters to my girlfriend which was really handy I had the homemade mushroom and Stilton soup, incredible it was Location is amazing so peaceful and surrounded by trees. Good prices too
Been here twice, probably a year apart. The food, service, and atmosphere were just as good as the first time. You must try the chips they are really good. Good food at a reasonable price. With a nice warm fire to keep you warm on a cold, rainy day. Would recommend.
A lovely locally run cafe that was the perfect dog friendly pit stop after a walk around the woods. We just had some chips and coffee/tea. The chips were good, the coffee tasted like machine coffee but was fine, and my partner had a slice of cake which he said was really nice and home made. Very muc
We love this cafe. Its nice and quiet mid week, dog friendly and the staff are lovely. The food is homemade and of a nice quality. Their cakes and coffee are perfect to enjoy mid hike amongst the trees! (And with the resident peacocks!) highly recommend!
Great place that's tucked away in the woods, very close to Castell Coch. Good coffee & food with table service. Gluten free options and the prices are good too. I had the bacon and egg sandwich on toasted gluten free bread. Sensational Sunday dinners. Best to book for this. Very rustic so wear your
Lovely rustic cafe in the woods-with a really nice relaxed vibe, just around the corner from entrance to castle Coch. Great if out with your dog- lots of surrounding walks & plenty of outdoor seating. There is also a small carpark next to the cafe. We had coffee which was good & our kids had a larg
Had afternoon tea here. The service was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of food to eat and left full! Being a vegetarian, they went out of their way to accommodate me.
Such a warm welcoming place, staff were lovely. Toasties chips and coffees were perfect. Ralph (sphynx) loved the doggy ice cream and enjoyed the warmth of the log burner. We will.be visiting again.
Lovely place to sit and have a coffee with the dogs. Lovely lunch and Wonderful staff and very friendly. Just one complaint... the toilets really need a good clean.πŸ˜‰
Stopped in after a day of hiking nearby and was pleasantly surprised to find a nice place to relax and enjoy a much needed break. Good selection of coffee and of course a slice of cake was a must. They are very dog friendly and is a great place to unwind after hiking or before you begin your day.
Perfectly good for a cheap and quick food stop. Beautiful setting in the forest. Food is nothing to write home about but perfectly adequate for the price.
A little gem of a place! Perfect post dog walking stop for coffee and cake. Apparently the Sunday roast is very popular too!
A hidden gem of a place. Only had coffee this visit but they have a great menu and food looked delicious. Lovely stop after a walk around Castle Coch and mountains/forest. The beautiful peacock is a bonus πŸ˜€
Great stop off point for coffee and cake while wandering around the forest. The Forest Tea Room was a welcoming sight after walking around for a few hours but it’s not easy to find. Just around the corner from Castell Coch.
Fantastic querky little cafe, perfectly placed to visit after a walk around Castle Coch .
Really good went there to celebrate a friends birthday, bit rustic but food was really good
Lovely coffee shop/cafe with welcoming staff and Log burner. Parking a challenge when busy, as is access up short single track but worth it.
