You know what you are getting with a Harvester.
The premises were clean, staff were very friendly and inviting but most importantly the salad bar was full.
Jessica was our waiter today and she did an ace job, she was informative and helpful with a smile and she also engaged with a bit of banter.
Food was what you’d expect with Harvester and it all came out very quickly and was all tasty.
They offer a variety of different type of sauces to accompany your meal (the bourbon sauce being especially good).
I mentioned this to Jessica and she informed me that you can buy the selection of sauces on offer to take home(Upselling I like it).
So a good visit 🙂.
Wasn’t expecting too much to be honest from harvester as had previous bad experiences ( few years ago mind) however the food was absolutely lovely!
Had the ultimate mixed grill everything was cooked perfectly and good quality, also the salad bar was nice and fresh all around really great. Definitely be returning
Very nice harvester! It’s quite hidden in Cardiff bay, but worth making a visit.
The restaurant is very clean and bright. Seating is spacious and doesn’t feel cramped at all. We had no problem finding a table and didn’t need to book in advance.
Food was nice, we ordered the three course meal and didn’t need to wait long between servings. Salad bar was fresh and had a good selection.
Had a great time and will visit again.
The special offer for joining was a huge bonus. Staff were nice. Could improve by having music slightly quieter (though we didn't ask to have it turned down so maybe staff would have accommodated that)
Nice furniture, well decorated. Chairs a bit close to each other behind our table, but not an issue for us as staff moved some things to accommodate our needs. Breakfast deal was affordable and refillable coffee was a nice bonus.
We went for the lunch at Harvester. Ordered the the ultimate grill and a starter. The salad bar was really great. Overall food was beyond expectations and the interior was very pleasing. We were served by Anna and she was amazing. She did a great job.
We will definitely visit again.
Love coming for our weekly mother breakfasts. Staff are super lovely! We specially love Kath and Katie who serve us every week! Our weekly meetings would not be complete without them 🙌
A much better experience than last time. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive at all times. Bit disappointed with the simply breast of chicken but maybe that's because I usually have the signature rotisserie chicken. My diet said no this time lol. A lovely place to eat after a good swim.
Wonderful service in a clean and friendly environment that I can bring all the kids to! Served by this lovely gentlemen Steve, who would went above and beyond in making it a comfortable experience for a birthday dinner. Will be coming back!
Great birthday meal today for the man who normally never smiles. Service by Angelo was perfect. We wish him the best as he takes time off to travel the world.
The food was really good. Everything was fresh. Usually chain pubs are average but this is a nice modern place with great food. Kath served us and was brilliant. She was on it from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much trouble for her. Thank you.
Went there with family for my birthday. Enjoyed everything. Tasty food 😋. The service is ok, it's just that we waited 30min after the main waited for someone to come.

Great ambience,clean,amazing service!Child’s menu very good and dessert for free which was a huge Sundae!My room steak was delicious so were the onion rings(probably the best I’ve had)and the salad bar was yummy.My Nan enjoyed her bread rolls with the Lurpak butter.
First time eating at Harvester and it’s on my list already!

Was served by the lovely Tom. Brilliant selection on the salad bar, and really enjoyed the patas bravas dirty fries with my burger. Service was speedy and always with a smile! Will be returning soon
It's a harvester so don't expect anything crazy, however I will say the staff was lovely and the food came out pretty quick and was tasty.
The chicken is where it's at but I would not order maybe the fancy fries as I paid an extra £2 for a bit of sauce, maybe e swap them out for sweet potato if you want something different. My partner had the stuffed pasta which was very nice.
The salad bar was pretty standard and personally not my favourite bit.
The amount you get was loads but for three of us with only a single starter, 3 mains and 3 refillable drinks it cost £60 but we found if you gift yourself a gift card you can get yourself 11% off, so a little tip for you all.
Overall I would recommend this location if you want a good standard experience at Harvester.

Wow! They have seriously upped their game! The mighty mixed grill for 20 bucks is ridiculous! Tasty and as you can see most definitely wholesome 🤦♂️😂 Service was top class too. Next time I'm coming back to Barry, rest assured I'll be back with more friends and family.
