Visited here on a recent trip to Cardiff based on these good reviews and was not disappointed.
Food was absolutely delicious. 100% would return if next in the area.
Staff are warm and welcoming. Service with smiles all round. Fresh and inviting atmosphere. Very clean. Food amazing. Good value for money. We highly recommend. Looking forward to our next visit. 😀
Absolutely superb atmosphere and the staff were very accommodating and welcoming, perfect food and utterly dedicated staff. Will recommend everyone tries the ruby slipper cocktail!

Lovely little place on the bottom of rummey hill . Lovely interior. First time I've been here and won't be the last. Had the 10oz rump steak and chips with garlic mushrooms . Was excellent . Deffinetly worth a visit. Best to book as it was filling up as we left 👍

Staff are fantastic at what they do.food was stunning as always its 1 of our favourite places to eat,they even git some birthday banners up as was my mother inlaw 70th Birthday.it was even better as there was an artist singing fantastic evening,
I've been to The Thackery quite a few times now, the food is absolutely amazing, service is excellent. Staff are so efficient and friendly. It's such a pleasure to come to a place where you are made to feel so welcome, it's like home from home. Can't wait to celebrate my 60th in July with you all at your fabulous establishment.
Anyone in the Wales/Cardiff area would be doing themselves a disservice to not visit this pub! Amazing food, outstanding staff (especially Becky and Jason!!), and incredible atmosphere. Staff were accommodating and left us with many local recommendations for attractions in the area. Food far above par and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect end to a day in Wales.
We grabbed a dinner here it was so filling. We had the chicken burger meal and Steak pie. It was soooo filling, we could have shared one of the meals. Nice atmosphere but little chilly. Would recommend and visit again
Went for Sunday dinner and it was top class! Excellent food, fantastic and super helpful staff and great prices too. Couldn't fault my experience from start to finish and can't wait to go back!
I booked last min a table of 40 for my sister last minuete and Karen and team were nothing but amazing, the food and service was 5* I would recommend the quill and quote to anyone. Thank you for you hard work and service xx

Stunning food, great atmosphere, perfect place for a get together. Staff were so friendly was great to see them singing jigging along to the karaoke, such a warm and friendly place. Variety of music wasn't the best but it catered for the majority of age groups I guess.
We had a lovely experience. Beccy showed us around the pub and explained the history of it. Debbie took our food order. Staff are great

Came here today for lunch and a pint. Ordered light lunch beef madras and a ciabatta... Lovely food and a generous portion. Reasonable prices too.
