I love the food here and the desserts. The quantity is great. Love having the mixed kufta here, it's served with rice and yogurt dip, both of which are yum. I keep going here again and again.
The search for Cardiff’s best kebab is proving to be a lot more challenging than I first anticipated. It’s not because there’s a dearth of decent doners or a scarcity of succulent shishes. In fact, it’s quite the opposite - City Road and its environs have turned out to be a kebab utopia. Reviewed kebabs from Lilo’s and Mina’s and post-pub guzzles from KBS and Abo Ali have all been excellent. Now, Shaam Nights can been thrown into the mix too. Shaam Nights, formerly Can Zaman, is a Syrian restaurant with stunning Middle Eastern inspired decor. Mosaic tiled walls and grand metal chandeliers take you to a place a long way from the hustle and bustle of City Road. A lack of alcoholic beverages is more than compensated for by an excellent selection of freshly squeezed juices and smoothies. Both a strawberry and banana smoothie (£3) and an apple juice (£2.50) were commendable stand-ins for lager. We started with some top notch mixed mezze (£8). My wife and I absolutely love it here. I brought her here on our 3rd month date and 7 years on we still come back every few months because the food is just incredible. The service is always friendly and attentive with the decor beautiful and unique. We live about 5 minutes from here and it’s our go-to when we want to take out of town friends for a communal meal. Highly recommend to anybody who hasn’t tried it!

Wanted to try this place for a while. The restaurant is so clean with good service. Went with one of my mates. The food is really delicious, tasty, filling and flavoursome. They have a good menu and varieties that you can try. The service is speedy as well. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended this place. The price is affordable. Has enough people to accommodate. Try to take enough cash as they don't take cards. There is a atm outside the restaurant in case you forget. Would visit again. Thank you☺️.

One of the best places to eat in Cardiff, beautiful decor and felt so cosy. As a group of girls we felt very looked after, the owner (Yahya) was very courteous and hospitable and tailored the menu to our liking. Food was excellent and service was amazing. Would highly recommend :)

If you want authentic Syrian food, this is the place to come. Everything is clearly homemade, fresh and delicious (the chicken is juicy and the Baba ghanoush is deliciously smoky!). I lived in Damascus for over a year and it took me straight back! Generous portions, quality food, atmospheric decor and music, and (as expected), amazing Arab hospitality.

The food was amazing, the meat was well seasoned and cooked. We had the platter for 2, which comes with rice and salad, plus garlic yoghurt dip. Big portions!! The waiting staff were attentive and friendly, the restaurant is beautifully decorated.
The wings for starters were amazing so tasty and flavoursome, then we shared the platter for two which was even better! Highly recommend this place. This restaurant is just awesome in terms of ambiance, workers, price and the most juiciest food. Been here thrice, first time with Mary J and my co workers, second time with my friends comparing someone we knew to Andrew Tate and the third time, a sabotaged AA meeting. Regardless of what circumstance it was, I was always satisfied and full with food and happiness.

We ordered a mixed grill for 4 and it was perfectly enough for 4 hungry people, we then finished it for a beautiful cup of mint tea which was good.
The mango juice was also surprisingly good as most places just use bottle juice but this tasted fresh.
Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice grilled meal.
