The staff was really nice and very gracious. They stayed open a little later than intended, and we had a really great conversation with one of the waiters. And I can't say enough good things about the dessert - we had sticky toffee pudding with caramel ice cream. Yum!
Nice, efficient service, tasty freshly prepared food, relaxed and contemporary atmosphere, reasonable prices. It's a pity that we went out for dinner without a real hunger, because the simple plates we ordered were really nice! I would definitely recommend this to friends for a dinner and after dinner night out.
Poor planning on my part meant we were in Canterbury with 5 adults and 5 children (all under 5), and nowhere to eat. We stumbled across The Old Brewery Tavern by accident, and were lucky to do so. The food was good, as was the beer and the children ate free. We weren't an easy party to accommodate, but tables were moved and menus adapted, and the kids got an activity pack so were made up. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful so top marks all round.

OMG The food was mind blowing!!! Pork belly and starter of mackerel. We shared both and it seems they gave us a large serving because they knew they we were sharing. The Desert pana cotta with mango with so good too..!!!
A nice friendly welcome. Only called in for coffee( very nice) but will return at some point for a meal and a pint
Lovely bar. Lovely lads behind the bar. No females behind the bar, which was weird. They were collecting glasses though. All a bit odd tbh.
Very quiet intimate bar, good range of drinks. TV screens kept losing signal which was slightly annoying!
Its a classic, not changed in years but it does it well. Good space and atmosphere with a good space for shaking your body and showing off your moves...
Historic pub serving typical pub fare and good selection of beers. Staff friendly and efficient. Worth a visit.
Great experience here. Full beer menu with some interesting off the beaten track options with some great food.
Good atmosphere, good sounds, no cask ales on but hey, we had a very good time.
