First time visit for me and partner and we were very impressed. Food was tasty and didn't have to wait long at all for the food to be brought out. However it was very quiet which could contribute towards that. The time between courses was very short- as soon as we'd finished our starters our mains were brought straight out.
Waiter we had was lovely and attentive. Very clean where we were eating, and although simple, nice decor inside.
One of the downsides were the toilets. Ladies door on one of the toilets was very stiff and hard to shut properly and open. Mens room there was no handle to main entrance.
Overall experience was very positive and we will be going back. Would definitely recommend to others.
First time visit for myself and husband. After reading some earlier reviews I was a little apprehensive but I have to say you cannot believe everything that is written. We had a really delicious meal, the service was excellent, the restaurant spotless & comfortable, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and will visit again when next in Canterbury. Lynda & Paul
Absolutely gorgeous food with lovely and attentive staff. They accepted our tastecard and gave us the 2 for 1 discount on our mains. 4 of us ate here for £100 and that stuffed us full! Honestly would eat here again in a heartbeat.
I have recently started eating here and I really enjoy the casual nature of the dining experience. I feel relaxed here and enjoy the food. There are no false pretences like in other restaurants.
I go there for a tasty curry and get it each time.
Revisted the Raj Venue, it is still providing one of the best curry experiences in the area. Quality of the take away just as good as the restaurant food. Excellent vegetarian/vegan options (Vegetable Makhanwhala, Dal Samber and Kofta Nazakat in particular). Perhaps the most underrated curry house in Canterbury. Check for offers (Groupon) for big savings.
Regularly order from here, its good friendly service, always more than satisfied with all the cuisines! Can get busy at weekends, so make sure you order in advance!

Fantastic curry, usually I go out for curry’s but ordered a take away from this place and it was amazing. Really friendly staff, great barges and main dish was superb!! 👍

Nice little Indian, interesting menu items. Kama Sutra Chicken wasn't quite as sexy as they would have you believe, but it was still damn tasty.
